Should have been #1 priority.

He looked way better than Cam Akers. I don't care what the ratings suggested.

I feel a little better about it since we did get Emery. I wish we could see a little more of Emery though.

That’s one of those that backfired. It happens. O gave it a legit push at the end but it was too late.

went to Clemson who had been heavy on him the entire cycle if I remember correctly

This part definitely isn't true. Clemson offered him after we did. I do think LSU being the "hometown" team that he felt slighted and wanted to go elsewhere.

He's averaging 100yds/gm and 7.5ypc...sounds super overrated. Their offense is in a major funk so far this year. It's not him.

Wrong Les slow played him because he was in state. Went after Akers thinking he had Etienne as backup if needed. When Les was fired and O took over as interim they put recruiting anyone not already committed on hold until a full time coach was named. When O was named full time Coach he went after him but Etienne held the fact LSU slighted him against them and chose Clemson.

This is wrong, they offered late as well.

ETA - I should have known this was already discussed.

That’s ancient history. Recruiting is fluid it’s not as cut and dry as some people think

uh, that recruitment is on Ed.

Wow the love for miles still is unbelievable on this board. It still pisses me off at all the wasted talent miles went through bc he was to stubborn to modernize his offense...

What a weird thread to shite on O who was the coach at the time. The guy is doing a lot better. We shouldn’t shite on him now.

Learn to read. This thread is shitting is on Miles who richly deserves it. I’m sure if you pray to JPII your butthurt will be “miraculously” healed.

By no means do I think that Smith won’t play in the NFL, but he ran wild 1 game against Ole Miss with Ruggs on the sideline for most of it. If you had asked me a couple years ago I would have said Jefferson just based off rankings but to say Marshall is stupid.

I would probably give up Jefferson and maybe Marshall. Smith is putting on a clinic today

There is no need to post shite like this on a board that we are certain LSU players read.

Plus, that’s trade would be a bad one for LSU.

Miles player evaluation back burnered him. Also running back coach Jabber Juluke was not good.

Next the program was in such disarray it is amazing anyone came here

So if a player leaves the state it’s mismanagment?

Out of state guys coming to LSU is mismanagment by someone else I suppose.

It’s never ending purple colored glasses around here.

He is the 2nd best back in the country. He is an awesome player,

However, Jonathan Taylor will be the 1st back drafted. Dude is a beast, super smart and better than any Wisconsin back in their history.

Yes, why wouldn't he play for unstable program with Les and Cam?
