Mismanaging recruits, slowplaying, going all in on cam Akers, almost screwing up CEHs recruitment too.. you should see all of these responses

We had all our eggs in the Cam Akers basket, didn't hardly recruit E until Cam committed to Fla St, E told us to F off and went to Clemson who had been heavy on him the entire cycle if I remember correctly.

Les Miles didn’t want him. Too small for his prototype

He wasn’t recruited aggressively by any major programs early on but he really held that against LSU in particular.

No it’s not. Les blew etienne off and when les was fired Ed tried to get him late but the ship had already sailed

It was 2016 and we lost quite a bit of kids due to uncertainty at HC. That and we went all out for Cam Akers. Not to mention Clemson was coming off a national title with brand new facilities, coaching stability and didn’t have a Derrius Guice.

O did recruit his arse off for the kid, just lost in the end and made Akers the priority.

As JV will tell you from sitting in meetings, Les did not like his “running gait”.

Bagman

Would you give up Jefferson, Marshall or Chase for him?

I would probably give up Jefferson and maybe Marshall. Smith is putting on a clinic today
