I think the funniest shite I ever heard on the radio was The Fish and Condon frickin with people who would call them. Their station number was close to the Entergy number. Some older black lady called about her “lights being turned off “. They transferred her back and forth to each other, both would ask her “did you pay your light bill “. She finally got pissed off after being transferred about 4 times and said “kiss my arse”

One morning me and another dude was on the way to class and we were listening to Condon and he was fired up about something.. I forgot what it was, but I told the person I was with "wouldn't it be funny if someone called and said _____________" we were laughing about it and he dared me to call. I called in and started yelling "you don't know anything. you aint nothing but mouth boy!" and I started laughing so I hung up.

It set him off.. He was all like "you little punk! If you had the stones you would come say it to my face" He went on giving out the address. And just went on and on about how if there is any little young punk out there who has something to say he will give them the beating their daddy never did..

Blake Andrews has to be the least knowledgeable sports talk radio host in history.

Periodically, He’d had segments on soccer. Ice hockey. Any obscure thing so He would be less likely to be embarrassed, I’m guessing. It was so bad you had to listen.

WOW! This thread brought back some great memories of when local sports radio was still fun and entertaining.

The only "personality" I didn't see mentioned that I remember is a guy who went by the name of "Gary".

Around 2004 I was looking at DVDs in Best Buy and MFP was there. I used to like to see what they had on sale as sometimes it was cheaper than renting them. Mike would look at every title and read them quietly out loud and then if there was one that he would like he would say it louder and smile. I’m not gonna lie, my ASMR kicked in and I watched this dude read DVDs for 20 minutes. I met him at a few baseball games and he seemed like a good dude that had autism but genuinely loved life.

I was tailgating with Papa-San at Miss St before the Thursday night game in 2007 when we skull fricked them. He was blasted out of his mind, called Ott's show, hung up and proceeded to start crashing thru tables WWE style. Dude was nuts.

That brings me back to the late 90s as a kid when my dad used to drop me off at school listening to Richard condon lol

The Condon vs Jamie Howard shitshow after the "Interception Game" in 94 was BR Radio Gold. I was a student at the time and enjoyed it.

That’s not how I pictured MFP from his voice.

Can’t believe nobody has mentioned Cedric.

“Praise to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” At the beginning of every call.

Jon Fine banned him for that.

Occasionally, "Mama-san" would chime in on a "Papa-san" call. She also believed "Gayle Hatch, he need haircut" and fully supported Timmy Chang for Heisman.

How many of these callers do we think were “staged” by the radio hosts beforehand to get people interested?

Pretty sure a majority of these supposed callers were just the hosts buddy’s calling in and disguising voices lol.

Pretty widely known most radio call ins are paid actors, at least on bigger shows
