Just proof that Mitch and his buddy Cedric “Golden Parachute” Grant ought to be doing prison time. Where did all of that money collected by the S&WB go during Mitch’s eight years at the helm go? Obviously it was diverted from its intended purpose.

Haha now that is some incompetence right there!
Guy no 1:
“Hey now we are having some flooding issues around this neighborhood. What can be the cause?”
Guy no 2:
shite I don’t know what it could be
Guy no 1:
You think we should check out the canal to see if anything is blocking it?
Guy no 2
Nah
Two fricking cars blocking a drainage canal and it goes undiscovered.
Never change NOLA
NEVER MUTHAFRICKING CHANGE NOLA!
We love you

If Korban came in tomorrow morning and said, "F It, I'm done with you people and I'm headed back north" no one, I mean no one, would think any less of it.
He's been surprisingly unwilling to throw prior people under the bus. His comment of "hasn't been done in 10-15 years" tells me he's had about enough of this shite.
I think he could be the guy to turn it around, if he stays around.

He spends a lot of time making excuses for the previous admin because I think he knows it just reflects poorly on the department.
I wish he’d come out and say look guys I’m cleaning up a fricking mess.
Just be honest with us, I respect that at least under his admin they’re finding these issues.

I want to know how those cars got there. Does that drainage tunnel connect to bayou st john?

Department of Public Works will probably boot those cars before sunrise tomorrow.

Hahaha they’re aren’t planning on getting that shite out! Didn’t the article say water was still flowing around the cars? Good enough for gov’t work!

If residents did their job and cleaned the storm drains, this wouldn't be happening

They pulled a dozen or so out of Bayou St John by the dental school years ago. Also by all those little bridges going East from the Rigolets

"We are asking all citizens to help the city to dredge and clear all drainage canals in order to help with the flooding issues. We are also announcing a new 45 mill property tax to fund drainage canal clearing and maintenance projects."

Call Mitch..he knows a thing or 4 about aggressively removing large objects from city property as soon as possible
Maybe he'll let you use his fire dept and crane
