Suddenly JBE is not the feature of his TV election commercials.

I think his internal polls are showing extremely low personal favorable ratings. His honor code is in tatters, his high taxes have hurt everyone, his spending has helped few, and his miserable Democrat economy is forcing our young workers to become job seeking refugees in other GOP run states. His trollish, googly eyed, Bumpy Head is off putting, and his past commercials trying to link HIS lackluster performance to Bobby have failed. An incumbent hovering in the low 40% is a dead man walking this close to the election.

Now he’s hoping the more likeable Mrs. “Teacher Union” Edwards can rescue his Bumpy Headed, Tax and Spending arse!

Not going to happen!
The governor’s race is between Abraham and Rispone!

JBE is down in NO making sure the Saints stay put.

Soon he’ll be at LSU helping O coach.

He’s no dummy, it’s election year and he has a surplus to dole out. He’ll take full advantage of that too.

So far he’s doing well to run away from real issues and put himself in a favorable light.

It doesn't really matter who the Governor is, nothing ever changes. Never has and likely never will. That being said I will never vote for a Democrat especially JBE. His whole family is corrupt.

I tried to like JBE and personally classified him as a southern democrat, however, that was only because we never have or had a good Republican candidate. Problem with Louisiana is our Democrats are way to far left, which is needed to win the heart of New Orleans, and our Republicans have no heart or motivation to change anything.

If there was anytime for a true moderate it would be now. Ralph and Eddie are saying the right things but so did Jindall

Just a Louisiana shill and hopefully a future grandfather who hopes not to have to leave Louisiana to visit my grandchildren.

How about you?

Come on admit it, Mrs. “Teacher Union” Edwards is 100% more likeable than Mr. “Bumpy Head” Edwards!

Edit. Tboy insulted but didn’t refute it!

The problem is that Louisiana always elects the charismatic politicians only looking to enrich themselves. The population revered some awful people like Huey Long, the Perez family, EWE, etc. Long and his populist ways are too far ingrained in too much of the population here so you get poor governors like JBE who only take more from the producers who are left. Politicians promise the world to enough of these people and they vote them in time and time again. Texas has been quite a beneficiary of good talent from Louisiana over the last few decades.

Well, according to his IG:

August 8: Met with Garrett Graves to announce a $255 mil flood reduction problem.

August 11: In Sulphur Meeting with first responders

August 12: Meeting with Saints

I would say that 80% of the state, if we are being honest, would be considered populist, especially with economics.

Problem is, 80% of the state isn't Democrat. We have a whole bunch of right-leaning, gun-loving, abortion-hating white dudes who love them some populism.

Here's an example. It's well known that one of the ways we can fix our horrible tax system, is be significantly rolling back the homestead exemption, and significantly cutting sales tax rates. It can be done easily in a way that is revenue-neutral. However, property taxes are more stable than sales taxes, as well as are more controlled at the local level. That means we have a more predictable budget, which helps us get lower bond interest rates, etc.

But if you even mention rolling back the homestead exemption, 80% of the state loses their collective shite. I mean, the long-time assessor in Jefferson Parish - a pretty conservative place - used to publicly advocate for DOUBLING the homestead exemption. It's already the highest in the country.

He’s letting Donna face the “Highest Sales Tax in America” and lowest job creation record in Trump’s economy ads! This ad is killing him! And even Mrs. Donna “Teacher’s Union” Edwards cannot save his Bumpy Headed, Tax and Spending arse!

My wife is a teacher and went to a huge conference in NOLA recently where Donna Edwards spoke. She said “How ‘bout dem raises my husband got y’all?!”.

My wife said you could hear a pin drop and only four or five teachers clapped. She says the teachers hate JBE and think his “raise” was a slap in the face. A whopping $1,000 a year. Man, whatever will we do with our newfound wealth?

There are 50,000 public school teachers in Louisiana. They haven't had raises in years. This raise is so we get closer to the regional average of teacher pay.
