LSU - UNLV in 1990 needs more mentioning. Any time you beat one of the best national title teams ever deserves a tip of the cap.
LSU - Texas regional final had some tense moments. The amount of dunks by Tyrus Thomas was mind-boggling. I still can’t forget the crazy sequence that ended with a Daniel Gibson three bringing the Horns to a tie.

My favorite that I attended in person was 2000 vs. Arizona.
Jabari Smith's dunk, dominating a national powerhouse by 20.
frick that was awesome.

Was there for both. Would be difficult to pick the most exciting from these two. I'm gonna say it's a tie.

LSU vs. Duke in the 2006 NCAA Tournament is my pick. The stakes, the opponent, and the fact that Garrett Temple made J.J. Redick cry.

Shaq verses #1 Duke in 1991-92. The week-long hype before the game was incredible. Not so much the outcome.

LSU v. LMU was great if you loved fast paced play with little defense. It was almost like watching a tennis match. Both teams simply went back and forth in rapid fashion.
The G'town game gets my vote because of the total circumstances:
1. The game was played in-front of 54,000+ in the Superdome at that time it was the largest crowd to watch a college basketball game and I think the record stood for some time after that;
2. Georgetown was one of the premiere programs of the 80's. They were ranked #2 going into the game and ready to ascend to #1 with a win because the #1 team had already lost that week. (That G'town team went on to be a #1 seed in the NCAAT)
3. LSU won it in the final seconds on an improbable putback by Blanton with 2 seconds on the clock. It was really a bad final possession by LSU with Jackson trying to dribble between a triple team. The final shot wasn't an ideal look, but Simms tipped the rebound to Blanton who hit a quasi-reverse layup to win. The stadium went nuts. For anyone who says LSU has never been a "basketball school" just look at the FIFTY.FOUR.THOUSAND who showed up on a rainy day in NOLA to watch that game.
4. Dale Brown reacted to the game winning shot only in the way Dale could. It was sheer shock at the end following a completely disjointed final possession. Hand's raised to the sky yelling a shocked "We won it!" he ran over to John Thompson with arms out like he was going to hug Thompson only to quickly realize he was running towards a very big man who wasn't happy about the outcome. No hug occurred

LSU -Purdue in the Assembly Center in 1986 is up there for me. Double OT for the right to advance to the second round of the NCAAT. That was a great night.

LSU vs Phi Slamma Jamma. Leonard Mitchel checking Hakeem Olajuwan. I thought we had the game won when Leonard took the charge, fouling out Olajuwan with about four minutes left.

The ending was insane with Anthony Wilson throwing up an aimed prayer and the MSU coach following suit... if I'm remembering correctly.

I came to LSU the next year but the 1977 home game against #1 Kentucky has to be up there. All 5 started fouled out and we beat them in OT. Wow
For me it was the Put Back against Memphis in 86 tourney. Last LSU Basketball game I went to. I will correct that.

Another was the 1978 game when we beat #1 Kentucky after all five of our starters fouled out.
The first college BBall game I ever watched was the '79 NC, Bird v Magic 1, so I missed that game but heard about it. Wish someone would put it on youtube, would love to see it.
