People are becoming worse about using their phone in general. It's becoming a major pet peeve of mine.

I've made it a habit of leaving it across or in another room while visiting my family. It's too easy to waste quality time with family on my phone reading what you dumb asses have to say. It's a tough habit to break though.

I don't hide the fact that I attend AA meetings. I've figured out that I have to leave the phone in the car or I'll spend too much of that valuable hour on the phone if I don't, especially when some part of what's being said doesn't apply to me. If it's in my pocket, I feel it going off and my mind become instantly focuses on who or what is going on with my phone and I stop being engaged in meeting content. It's a problem.

We use to have to hide our narcissism now we as a society just show it at every corner.

Which is why I only go watch movies at the Alamo Drafthouse. They don't put up with that shite.

I have used a cell phone jammer for several year now and this is why i do it.

No one knows i have it and i turn it on in settings like that. It’s about the side of Walkie talkie

Some people get antsy and look like they freak out which makes me laugh and others just decide they are gonna just watch the movie. Which is exactly what should happen.

Turn on your phone flashlight and shine that bright arse LED in their face. They usually get the point after that.

It's why you don't go to theatres. Just like ballgames. Watch it on TV.

People talking throughout concerts are even worse, why the F do people even attend. No one wants to hear their non-stop shite over the band. #Merica

It’s not a lack of respect. It’s an addiciction. 90% of people under the age of 25 are severely addicted to their phones.

I posted on TD for a couple hours on Friday when I took my kids to see the lion king. But I’m a considerate movie texter. I tune the brightness down and put it on nighttime mode. You’re welcome America.

OP definitely needs an Alamo Drafthouse. He can enjoy a movie with nobody using phones, then enjoy a frosty brew with some nachos.

If you’re into going places where your good time is dependent on other people not being giant assholes, you’re mostly out of luck anywhere you go. Movie theaters are the worst of these kinds of places. It’s impossible for me to enjoy myself.

Its 2019; who goes to the movies anymore?

I’m much more concerned about driving down a major US interstate to look over and see a fellow driver cruising at 60+ mph checking Facebook or Instagram. Those motherfrickers need to be executed

same thing happed at the last movie I attended with the family. It was directly in my line of sight. I had to say something...."if you insist on checking your instagram instead of watching this movie, at least please turn your brightness down so I can see the movie. " Which they did.

It's REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD. a few years ago it was just younger folks, now it's EVERYONE.
That's why I don't understand people texting and driving. Yeah, I'm sure you can manage it just fine if no one else is doing it. But with everyone doing it you constantly have to watch out for frickers texting and not driving straight.
