Young black guy robs bank in South Arkansas, gets out on bond, gets gunned down stealing a vehicle in Little Rock a month later. Of course he was a good boy and the cops are racist according to comments.

I don’t like how cops can corner someone and then when that person tries to drive out of the corner, they automatically get killed for it.
Those cops obviously were able to move out of the way of the truck.
We jump from wanting to protect police officers to giving them blanket approval to kill people in response to a certain type of action, even if the specific action wasn’t life threatening to the officers.
I’m not blaming these cops, I’m saying the protocol seems wrong.
ETA: I expect all the downvotes but can someone respond in a logical manner without begging the question? I’ll be pleasantly surprised if anyone does.

Absolutely justified. Making a conscious decision to steal a vehicle comes with risks. If my son stole a vehicle and was gunned down in the process I would blame him for the consequences bestowed upon him.

I legit laughed when the cop dumped 6 or so rounds through the side window as the perp sped past him at 4 mph.
