That DL haul would be legendary. Need a few OT’s and a RB and we’ll be set. I think we’re good with the other positions.

Assuming Berry probably isn’t in class and Taylor takes his spot possibly. Lee, Guillory, and Roy would put us at 21 Commits. You then get your RB, another Safety and are sitting at 23. Hopefully take Crawford and Dumervil with 24 and 25? Still a long way to go and a lot of moving parts, way too early to project. Possible another guy or 2 could be removed from the class to put another offensive linemen in, but that’s how I see it shaping out from a very long way out. That would give us probably the 2nd best class and over 300 total points, and we would fill out every single position from offense to defense.

I’d rather Van Pran or 1 more interior lineman than a safety but i sure wouldn’t complain of the class ended with that haul.

we will land another safety no matter what, but Van Pran is a pretty critical piece. Ideally we land him, Crawford, and Dumervil and a current guy is processed out. I see us basically filling out every single position in this class. Going to be loaded everywhere.

Yeah I agree with TT7 here, we have a safety spot open and it needs to be filled. We will be losing our backend soon and don't have a replacement for S yet. Major Burns projects as a corner in college so that might be throwing you off

Jenkins has the moves of a pass rushing defensive end, but the body of a DT. Uses his hands really well and explodes off the ball. Don't forget that the only highlights we have are him at 255-260. He's up to 285 and still has great quickness. He's gonna be a good one.

I would assume it depends on who else we can bring in but I’d be reluctant to do anything to damage that Cali pipeline at this point.

Just recent chatter he is in line to be one of the guys to get processed out. He’s a great player, if he stays though then we wouldn’t get Eric Taylor/Jalen Lee unless they removed Gaye over Berry which I don’t see happening.

The only chatter I've seen has just been pure speculation (I assume based on rating) from people on this board.

Is he underrated as far as where the recruiting services rank him?

Probably about right now, last month he was in the 900s in the composite, now he's Top 500. He has had very good camp showings which has increased his offer list (Texas A&M, Tennessee us most notably) in the last month or so.

Berry situation will work itself out

Seems like I'm the only one who disagrees on this whole getting rid of Berry idea.

First, (and I could be wrong) the cockiness in the notion that we will be in the position to turn away good DL's is laughable to me at this point. As if we're getting everyone we want in the first place.

Second, I like Jenkins a lot but Berry's highlights speak for itself. The guy has a great first step just like Jenkins but has grown man strength to go with it.

Look at this guy's punch/strength. Look at his size versus Jenkins' size. He can actually take up blocks to stop the run.

He obviously won't be turned away until we actually get commitments from the guys we have ranked ahead of him but if better players do commit, we will have to process someone and he seems the most dispensable.

If Roy goes to the dark side and we don't land one of the other guys we like, then Berry will obviously still be in the class.
