Reminds me of Brandon Graham

agreed, if he was 6'4", he'd already be a 4 star

Didn’t Vol say the other day he sees 3 guys getting the boot from the class now? I believe that’s what was said. He didn’t say who, but people have assumed Berry. We would not be able to land Gaye, Berry, Taylor, Guillory, Lee, Roy, and Jenkins. Too limited. Taylor is trending to us, and we want Jalen Lee bad. If we landed all Roy, Lee, and Guillory logically it would mean either Berry or Gaye would be out. Still way too early to tell. The Cali pipeline and Berry is something I wouldn’t want to lose though. We could use all the linemen we can get.

DAMN RIGHT

Being a Tiger is a privilege. I don’t give a shite about “ranked” talent. If he’s got the chest, he’s a win in my book!!

Not that 6'1 or 6'2 is small by any means but you get what I'm saying

It isn’t that 6’2 is small the real question is, is he really 6’2! He is probably more like 6’0ft if they are saying 6’1 or 6’2

Why do you think people assume Berry? 2 reasons. He's not from Louisiana and, more importantly, he's our lowest rated DL commit. There is no factual basis, that I've seen, for this assumption.

I thought I read Gaye could end up on offense and Taylor hasn't committed yet. For all we know, Jenkins just took Taylor's spot.

Anyway, the numbers will work themselves out in the end, but I don't think it's right to say a particular guy is going to be out, just based on unsubstantiated message board chatter.

As for Berry, in particular, I'm not sure why his rating has dropped, but at one point he was a borderline 5*. Maybe he was just an early developer, maybe he's had an injury or two, maybe he just doesn't camp much.

Assuming Berry probably isn’t in class and Taylor takes his spot possibly. Lee, Guillory, and Roy would put us at 21 Commits. You then get your RB, another Safety and are sitting at 23. Hopefully take Crawford and Dumervil with 24 and 25? Still a long way to go and a lot of moving parts, way too early to project. Possible another guy or 2 could be removed from the class to put another offensive linemen in, but that’s how I see it shaping out from a very long way out. That would give us probably the 2nd best class and over 300 total points, and we would fill out every single position from offense to defense.

OMG, if something similar to this happened the board would go quite since all of the O haters would be hiding in their moms basements looking for something else to melt about!

So that’s 18 for the class. Optimally we keep 1 spot for a RB and another for Lathan Ransom or another safety. 3 spots for the OL (Dumerville, Crawford and Van Pran hopefully). That leaves two spots you have to keep for Roy and Guillory. That means we really need 2 spots to open for Jalen Lee and Eric Taylor if they want in although in reality we probably only get 3 of Roy, Guillory, Lee and Taylor. Berry could be one but I don’t know who would be the other. I think they want to keep Cam Jackson as he will move to OT from defense. It all tends to work itself out.

So is he similar in build and ability to Lewis Neal? If so, he's definitely a take, but may not be an instant impact guy.

He's actually ranked higher and a lot heavier than Neal was when he signed:

Lewis Neal 247

Berry looks like a 4-5 star to me - who is suggesting he's disposable?

Stargazers.

People who don't realize yet that it's only June and the numbers will work themselves out.

We could lose guys for any number of reasons and it's dumb to look at our current list of commits and drop guys because they're the lowest rated at a particular position.

Quick, disruptive and apparently has bulked up and maintained/improved athleticism. What's not to like?? Let's keep adding the big uglies

Why would we even consider getting rid of Berry when the past few months eeryone has been saying he's a diamond in the ruff and we have a commitment from a JUCO guy that's likely never gonna see the field lmao. He is disposable way before Beryy imo

Lewis Neal may not be a bad comparison. Drake Nevis comes to mind for me.

I agree. Hope we keep him. Guy is Strong!

I don't know about this Patrick Jenkins fella. He is good but is to damn short. This just might be another Davin Cotton situation. Hopefully I'm wrong.
