I don't know what my son will pick as the name of his grandmother. All I know is she wanted Geaux-Ma and the entire family vetoed it.

Wife’s parents: nana and pawpaw

Usually the younger grandmother takes the “nana” name.

My parents migrated here from Italy, so Nono for my dad and Nona for my mom. Same thing my grandson calls me and my wife.

I don’t like paw paw or gandmaw or anything like it. I’m glad my parents have different names chosen by the first child basically.

I had three sets due to a divorce: grandma and grandpa, pop and ma, oma and opa.

I would mock my parents mercilessly if they tried to pull some of the bullshite I’ve seen on this thread
