I don't have kids but my brother does. My parents are insisting on being called "Lolli" and "poppie". I think these names are dumb but I don't have kids so I can't set the precedent.

Son's inlaws chose their names: Gigi & Pops. My son calls my husband Pop, so she suggested Tootsie & Pop for us.
Stupid...the two men are supposed to listen for that extra S to figure out to whom the children are speaking?
Luckily we've been christened Mimi & Papa by another sweet granddaughter.

My mom is Mimi and MIL is Grannie.
Both of our dads are deceased but my dad was Papa.
