I sometimes tell my butler to take the weekend off if the stock market takes a down turn that week.

You don't have to wash them. Just grab by the tip and shake the frick out of them.

Not an extreme, but I miss the days of going to the theater in the morning and then staying all day to hit as many movies as possible

I have a friend that turns his a/c off and unplugs his refrigerator when they leave for work to save on his electricity bill. Even when they are home the house is on like 78.

This is a mixture of cheap and smart but a restaurant owner in town adds crackers to his ground beef to make the meat go farther. Says he can get an extra half a pound for every pound of beef by doing this.

I’ll add Italian bread crumbs sometimes.

Are you saying his burgers are 50/50 beef/crackers though?
Or 66/33?

That is pretty common in the food industry. Well, I don't know how common, but places will add something cheaper to a dish, that using more of a more expensive product. Potatoes, corn, etc... Products like that, which are cheaper.

The same people who do this also probably spend $7 a day on a pack of cigarettes.

Dad of a girl I went to school with use to shut off the gas to the stove and water heater so the pilot light wouldn’t burn whenever they were gone for more than a few hours.

Coworker has 5 kids under the age of 8 and has always bought whole milk and cut it with water. Milks what, $1.30/gallon?

Be honest, every thought that pops into your mind has a thread made after it, doesn’t it?
