He's spot on!

Certainly it's not wrong to respect people who choose the military at their profession. But the over dramatic virtue signaling hero worship is a bit ridiculous.

Honestly, it has very little to do with actually acknowledging people in the military for their service as much as it is making sure everyone KNOWS how much YOU respect those in the military.

I would like to know what his bit was, without context I can't opine specifically but I do know some people are to easily offended. I made a joke on here about the Puddle Pirates a while back and someone jumped down my throat.

Military guys and vets constantly make fun of other branches.

Also, my sister jumped my shite about makign fun of the Army a while back, the closest she has to anyone serving is me, my dad, and now my son and she was trying to tell me what was and was not OK to make fun of about the military.

As the "Big Toe" said, lighten up Francis...

Four "spot on"s in the first seven replies

When, how, and why did this limey phrase infect America?

Was it used in Austin Powers of The Osbornes or something?

As a veteran I can say, he is absolutely correct. Humor is usually grounded in truth.
