It's as simple as this:
Most professors have been in the school system their whole lives. From elementary to teaching, they are in school. They see one perspective all the time and are trapped in an echo chamber all the time. They never leave academia and deal with real life like the rest of us do.

With that said, their views are forced and hammered into students heads. Sometimes, the professors will even dictate a students grade based on their views and how well they reflect the views that they have discussed in class.

My advice to any college student is this: Stay strong in your beliefs but fake it until you make it. Act like you're woke until you get the grade.

ETA: Also, as a college student, I can honestly say that parents shelter and coddle their kids too much. I know that I was. Kids need to be exposed to alternate ways of thinking/interactions.

It’s all about guilt. All they talk about are SJW topics and if you don’t agree with the left on this you are a bad person. Young people want to be accepted by their pears and nobody wants to appear to be a bad or hateful person.

Most of these people were apolitical up to this point so they don’t know the tricks. They are asked questions like “Don’t you think a gay man should be treated the same as a straight man?” and “Don’t you believe in equal rights?”. They are taught that the left is for this and the right is against it.

Didn’t read all of that but the answer is that most of the professors are liberal.

Can't have black friends? Well that's just good parenting.

Kids go to college and are exposed to values outside of those through which they were raised. It's just part of truly growing up. They experiment with bouts of ludicrous ideas, go against everything their patents taught them, graduate and get a job, start a family and reach maturity, and then realize that 98% of what their parents taught them was right. They raise their children with the same values instilled in them by their parents. The other 2% move to California.

White republicans have more black friends than white democrats in my experience. My dad is republican and I had black friends that came to the house. I’m republican (barely) with black friends as do my kids all have black friends. What a retarded comment.

Grew up in an extremely conservative home but consider myself independent now. I wasn’t influenced by anything in college personally I just just hate the climate of politics now thanks to work done by both parties. It’s no longer about making sounds decisions to help the country it’s about being “right or wrong” and “making a statement.” I vote for people I support not a party. Thought both candidates were shite in ‘16 and still do.

College kids are voting overwhelmingly left more than ever, but that isn't even more point, kids are starting to think left more than ever because there's a hive mentality, and kids just do not care about politics like before, they just want to have fun with their friends and if it means adapting their philosophy to their friends, they're going to do it.

Completely false.

Because they've made the perception of being anything other than liberal seem dumb or foolish. Because 99% of college age students do not have a sufficient knowledge to defend their sensibilities or world view thru the prism of politics in a verbal debate... and so they fold like a cheap suit, and re-consider everything. Then they start buying how backwards and unquestioning they've always been..... and then they are prime for re-shaping.

I had an English teacher (actually was from England) tell our 1001 class at LSU that it was a lie that gay people are more susceptible to HIV. She had no formal training in biology or healthcare. Why was she telling us this—idk.

She was making it seem like some right wing conspiracy meant to marginalize gays. The fact is you do have higher rates of HIV in gay folks and they should be educated of that.

Probably because being conservative has nothing to do with having piece of shite parents who won’t let you have a black friend over. I dont have a kid. I would say that a white little shite head would be hitting the bricks real quick and a well mannered respectful black kid would be welcome all the time.

that isn’t a political ideology. that just racism

A real racist will always have a black best friend. That way, when they’re accused of being a racist, they can say they can’t be because their best friend is black.
