Having conservative beliefs has nothing to do with being racist. The same can’t be said for progressives who’s entire ideology is built on group identity which is inherently racist. Try talking to any black person who openly votes republican and ask about the kind of shite they’ve heard from the supposed party of inclusion.

Young people flock to progressive ideology as a group ideology because they haven't developed and individual ideology. Its the cool, hip thing on campus and they want to be accepted as part of the group

When people get older, they begin to separate from the collective mind and develop their own ideologies and identities. The left/right false dichotomy misleads a lot of them into thinking there's one better than the other and really there isn't. There's us vs the State, people vs authoritarians. Both primary ideologies are authoritarian. Liberals and libertarians are being pushed aside and out of the picture.

That is such utter bullshite. The Democrats are no more of a hive mind than Republicans are. A significant number of both sides wait for their talking points. Labeling half the population as any one thing is weak minded and a simple mental ploy to make oneself feel superior.

Talk about getting defensive, I never said Republicans were not, but that has little to do with the post I responded to

Collectivist ideologies appeal to people who haven't developed an identity and those who have failed as individuals. Progressives and conservatives are followers, not leaders.

My theory is when kids go out “on their own” and realize it’s okay to not be religious and are surrounded by others that aren’t, it opens up the door for becoming more liberal.

And while I mean no offense to conservatives because the majority of my family is ultra-conservative and I still love them, I do believe liberals generally as a whole are smarter than conservatives. So it makes sense if you connect college and more experiences and more interaction with others to achieving a higher overall intelligence level that colleges and its students would lean more liberal.

Don’t forget the economical reality... college students don’t have money, so that in itself leads to them leaning liberal.

That's retarded and immature line to draw in the sand when it comes to pilitics.

In general, weaker people cling to collectivism.

In school there is a traditional attitude of looking at all sides of issues.

That means all sides.

Parents are "assisting" their kids for college, and it is raising the maturation age. They call it "parenting," but the delay in reality simply extends the liberal influence on their "kids." My "Hey white people -- quit spoiling your damn kids" thread got a lot of heat, but I have no doubt the "assistance" conditions the "kids" for at least partial dependence. Liberal professors preaching more "assistance" and programs make a lot of sense to people already used to freebies.

Jealous of what?

Oh yeah, just saw your Avi... You're part of the problem.

My oldest is 15 and will have zero problem with college and paying for it. ..but HE earns it. I create the opportunity, and he has to walk the path to make it happen. I'm not giving him shite telling myself I'm being a good parent.

Man, if I'm jealous of absolutely anything I would be giving a to the Universe, God, Gaia, FSM, and anything else that might bestow the experience that is my life.

You can't comprehend that, but that's your problem not mine.

The age of adulthood is now 24 according to some psychologists. Kids are less adventurous, less individualistic, more immature, more dependent than ever.

It simple. It’s because the vast majority of our nation’s institutions of higher learning decades ago ceased to provide an actual education and instead function as little more than progressive indoctrination camps. It’s as simple as that.

Tell you what. Why don’t you go to somewhere like UC Berkley or really just about any major university and express anything close to a pro-American, Christian, and/or conservative viewpoint and see how well it goes for you.
