quote:WTF are you talking about? There were numerous sculptures, stained glass windows, chandeliers, organs, bells.
Depends on what that piece of artwork means.
Notre Dame really isn't filled with artwork that started off as artwork
quote:No, just every art historian and scholar in the world.
Not because someone has declared them to be art.
I'm not religious, so I can fully appreciate how hard you tried to be a dumbass here, but they had far more than bogus crowns of thorns and cross splinters in there.

And who cares? As long as it’s donated is all that matters.

Now that is one of the most beautiful sites I’ve ever seen. Spared by mere feet it would seem.

You know these celebrities are only donating money for the notoriety. Like they personally commissioned the Cathedral.

my totally irreverent side has come up with a college football based fundraiser to help in the reconstruction...
The Hunchback Fund...led by Notre Dame (of course)...at one football game this fall, collections are made nationwide as a donation to help with reconstruction...

KATC Article on GoFundMe for Black Churches burned in Louisiana
I'd rather donate to this.
$178k of a $1.8m goal
Let's help our own.

I mean, it's not. I credit the firefighters.
Reminds me of some family members I know that give all the credit to god that their civil legal issues had a favorable outcome instead of the lawyer who worked a shite ton of hours for free to help family.

Article on sequence of events.

So the first alarm was 23 minutes before the fire was discovered, and then only after a second alarm went off. You think some security guard's arse is going to be in a sling?

The first fire alarm on Monday was triggered at 6:20 p.m., and checks were carried out but no fire was found, Mr. Heitz said. A second alarm went off at 6:43 p.m., he said, and fire was discovered in the wooden framework of the attic.

I wouldn't think you could check the entire church in 23 minutes or they just didn't check the attic

It looks like a construction worker or something.
That doesn't appear to be "muslim" garb. Looks like a high vis vest.
