I always feel bad when I show up and there’s 3 people waiting on Troy or the other lady and she’s just sitting there.

I love the person that says they are racist and call them “dagos”.

A better statement from that person would be I am a SJW wussy who is better than everyone else.
I need an old school PC barber shop with a safe space and call people racist names while accusing them of being racist.

He would have had a heart attack in the 1970’s. Back then you could place a bet on the pony’s or sports games while getting a hair cut.

Yeah I know a couple places that the barbers were bookies as well. Maybe not bookies but the ran football cards during the season.

Old school barbers are a dying breed.

Anyone remember the barber shop in the LSU Union? They didn’t even ask when you sat down, just went at your hair with the clippers. They used to put a flat top on me that you could measure with a carpenters square. Probably turned their shop into a LBGTQRSTUVW+ Safe Space.

I had friends who went to that shop.
They were good at the flat tops.

I think they turned it into a puppy and kitten petting station. Life so rough when your are in college and have to apologize for not being a freak.

From my experience they make the best barbers. Old school barbers have no filter and will say anything. It's like going back in time.

Two key requirements to bring an old school barber in Louisiana.

1. Have no filter
2. Be completely full of shite about your hunting and/or fishing stories.

It also helps to know how to cut hair, but that’s more of a “nice to have”.

You ever use that new girl in the first chair?

I have. She has done a really nice job on my hair. She makes sure you get what you want. Asking me questions as to what I want. Honestly I'm good using any of the three. I've been going to Troy's since it was his daddys. Only place I've ever consistently gotten a haircut.

Remember the Union barber shop

I do.....they had a vacuum hose with an attachment to get the clippings out of your hair. Also had those big silver metal vibrators that they strap on to the back of their hand to give a scalp massage.

Mostly went to The Razor's Edge under the interstate at Drusilla. But dey ain't dere no more.

I'm related to Anthony. Old man retired back in 2015. Seems to be enjoying retirement. Can hardly believe it, the man spent half his life in that shop, it was like his home.
