Does it make it right? Law enforcement officers are tasked with enforcing the law. If the kid was doing nothing illegal, the cops should be charged just like a group of friends who gang up on a guy because they were tired of his shite.

And damn it people, quit making me agree with NIH

Running your mouth, unless he directly threatened the cops, is not illegal and should not warrant that type of reaction from a LEO
Matter of fact, running one's mouth is a Constitutional Right. So is flipping the bird a 1st Amendment communication. These boys in blue are gonna have a Civil Rights Act violation raising the taxes to pay mister middle finger.

Dumbass cops gonna have their victim eating waygu beef while they go out job hunting all due to them not being able to control themselves. Who's the dindu here? (hint: ain't the one getting beat and arrested)

Big government guy huh? I find it hilarious that the board mostly comprised of people who complain about the government are quick to run and defend the one branch that can use force on citizens

Here is the issue, if the kid did something illegal prior to the video starting then they should have arrested him in a professional manner.

What we saw was a cop slapping a phone away then flipping the kid off. That is assault and battery. So no matter what the kid did prior the cop was wrong. Either arrest him or walk away, don't commit a crime.

Depends if they arrested this guy and charged him with that

Prosecutor may be slow to play ball especially if more video comes out showing that this was the cops fault

Maybe they tried to just let him go with a warning and he was an arse about it. The bottom line is we have a very one sided partial video, and we all know those are almost always bullshite.

If the entire incident is what's in the video, of course that is indefensible. But that's extremely unlikely.

It was unprofessional to let it escalate to what it did. But who knows, this person may have got a warning as I know (maybe because I’m a women) that cops tend to be very lenient during MG.

Cops probably finally tired of dickhead kids acting like douchebags the last few weeks.

You can’t be serious! Dude obviously hadn’t broken any laws before dickheads slapped his phone and flipped him off. If he did, those jerks would have had him yoked up already. And if a cop can’t handle a taunt from among a crowd of drunk folks then go chaperone a jr high school dance!

I am only going by what the video in the OP is showing and in that video there is excessive force.

If that guy didn't have it coming for this incident, I'm sure he had it coming for something he has done in the past so it all comes out in the wash.

What "whole story"? The first cop literally slaps his phone out of his hand, flips him off, and walks away.

Pretty safe to assume he didn't have enough to arrest him or he wouldn't have walked away.

Guy throws up 2 middle fingers and the "not so thin blue line" yanks him over the barrier and throws him down and gangs up on him.

Tell me what we could possibly be missing.

Please.
