Scrolling news alert.

This will force Trump's first VETO.

This is why Rand will always be Rand.

So not a bootlicker.

I may frequently disagree with him, but he's one of the few principled individuals left in the US legislature.

You’d think Rand, a doctor, would understand that sometimes you have to take bad tasting medicine in order to get better.

This RAND adoration is stupid. By blocking this he is actually caving to the agriculture industry that wants open borders and the Koch Brothers

No. Rand understands the precedent of using EO's to get what you want when it can't get passed through the normal channels the constitution provides is one hell of a slippery slope.

I imagine Rand, as a doctor, wouldn't take the position that someone should have that medicine shoved down their throat against their will, even if the doctor believed it to be in the person's best interest.

Rand, as a congressman, believes that money spent by the US government should be appropriated by Congress. I agree with him.

He's pretty anti-EOs to begin with.

Nope. He is showing you his open boarder side.

That is part of the Libertarian platform.

Every conservative should be.

In fact, they were just a few years ago.

Be prepared to be showered with downvotes for the audacity to have principles.

It just pisses me off, they bitch and moan until their team does the same fricking thing, and then now it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

and Trump will veto and Rand will get to crow about how "principled" he is and everything will proceed as before

don't understand the high and mighty "principled" people who want to use Marquis de Queensbury Rules in streetfights with gutter rate

But you forget that most "conservatives" are strictly for whatever works for them, regardless of the method.

Thank you for hanging a lantern on the fact that "conservatives" no longer stand for any principles whatsoever.
