Not for this we do not. It is too important to leave a bumbling Congress to do this.

They have proven the inability to act in favor of country due to TDS.

This will set a precedent that will bite the right in the arse. Guaranteed.

It was a National Emergency Declaration

And it's a unilateral action by a sitting president.

Listen, Trumps just not an effective leader. Leaders build coalitions, compromise a bit to get what they want.

The issue here is Trump and his followers have railed on the "establishment" so long they've alienated people who could help.

So now people are bitching that the establishment doesn't support him enough, what the hell do people expect?

You cannot air things out, then go unilaterally declare emergencies or write EO's because you didn't get your way. Lead effectively, get people behind you, and go through the proper channels.

Trumps setting the precedent for an absolute shite show when the Democrats come to power.

To be fair, they didn't elect a conservative. So why expect conservatism?

Do we have an international border with Mexico? If the answer is yes then the federal government should have domain and the security of that border. I have all respect for state rights. I believe the border issue is not about state rights but about the federal responsibility for international border security. I would hope the Congress of these United States could set aside partisan and political motivations long enough to allow for security of our international borders.

No. Rand understands the precedent of using EO's to get what you want when it can't get passed through the normal channels the constitution provides is one hell of a slippery slope.

While unlikely, it's possible that additional gop senators vote to override the veto over the principle.

Rand, as a congressman, believes that money spent by the US government should be appropriated by Congress. I agree with him.

Isn't the money being spent money that was already appropriated by Congress?

NP...

Back to topic. Rand is an open border guy. This should not be a surprise move by him.

I don't believe he's truly an open border guy, but he's more open to real reforms than most traditional conservatives.

It's already been through Congress and everyone has voted for it in the past. No one has done shite about it.

Finally someone with some balls to get it done. Lol at the "Next D Prez will EO it and tear it down"

Good luck with that

You do understand that the National Emergency Act does not authorize the President to violate the Constitution.

This. He’s not realizing that open borders and free shite will ensure we never see another conservative government again and one day he might get thrown in jail for those principles.
