Not unbiased but there was a play when a Tennessee player threw the ball and caught it himself, which should have been an obvious travel.

The worst (no) call of the game went against us. Mays was hit on the head on a 3 point shot with 6 seconds left in regulation in a tie game. Would have put an 80%+ shooter on the line for 3 shots in a tie game.

Go to about the 2:00 mark.

They missed a big on when skyler shot the 3 in the final seconds and the Tennessee guy hit his actual head and no call. The one the missed in our favor was emmitts hold but the guy didn’t have an angle to see it.

Also foul shooting difference was partly because we drove the ball every time. They did not.

There was a call on the baseline where Days got a rebound and they called Williams for a block when the replay pretty much showed Days throwing an uncalled elbow.

On the other hand, the foul called on Bigby-Williams to allow the three point play to tie in OT was pretty weak. Very little contact on that play.

Foul at end of game would be called by every official. Even Ray Charles saw that one.

They only call Tenn fans can complain about is the foul with less than a second left.

And it was a foul.

AND that foul was not what Tenn lost the game on. They missed their own game winning shot and had to foul. They had no choice. THey wanna win, make their shot.

Probably a foul but I doubt any of us LSU fans would have been all that pissed if he doesn't call that foul. You definitely don't expect a foul call with just a few seconds left.

I can admit that if the tables were turned Im pretty sure 95% of us LSU fans (including myself) would be bitching and crying like little girls, just like Tennessee fans.
BUT
Considering the arse rapings we Louisianans have had by Officials at sporting events lately I say this with all sincerity.......

I rewatched it last night. Yeah, the monitor usage that stopped play near the end was really annoying, BUT it allowed the crowd to really get into the game AND it gave LSU a chance to rest an undermanned squad.

Even Vitale said that Smart was fouled twice at the end of OT.

And sure there were a couple calls missed both ways, but other than that I thought they called a pretty good game.

My prediction is the SEC Office will review the game with the refs and say: good job guys.

To me the no call on the blatant walk by the Tennessee player that lost the ball and caught it himself was worse than all others because rhat would have given LSU the ball with the lead from what I recall. I can’t recall if it would have forced Tennessee to start fouling.

No there were several favoring Tennessee. The first flagrant foul on NaZ was a foul on Williams. Phantom call on Bigby down the stretch on an offensive rebound. Twice the refs stopped play while Schofield laid down behind the play.

The foul on Dayes as part of the double foul with Williams. The refs gave Tennessee possession. Incorrectly.

Mayes was fouled on the last shot in regulation as well.

Honestly I was happy with the officiating for most of the game as they let them play for the most part until the last few minutes of the game when they started to second guess themselves every call. Most games would have seen the last call as a no call and gone into the second OT, a lucky break for sure but it was not a poor call.

That did appear to be a foul on Williams hitting Mays in the back of the
Head on a 3 point attempt. Then right after that, Schoffield calls timeout as he fell to the ground with the ball. Could have easily been called a Travel but they gave them the timeout.

Lastly, the most aggregious missed call was when the Tenn player lost the ball, it went way up into the air and he chased it down and caught it in the air.... that was a clear travel and was not called. WW went apeshit on that call, and rightly so.

Refs were bad in the TN game and the KY game. They have been consistitant across the board of all college games this year, though. Unfortunataley their consistency is being consistently bad.
