New Orleans Parent gets on school bus and attack’s 9yr old that hit her kindergartener

NEW ORLEANS — Screams and confusion filled an Eisenhower Elementary School bus when a woman got on board to confront a 9-year-old boy.
“You took matters into your own hands and decided to beat on my 9-year-old son!" Ashley Batiste, the young boy’s mother, said through tears. “He was scared for his life so he tried to fight back!”
The fight broke out on the ride home on Feb. 4. Police say Patrice Henry entered the bus after getting a call from her child’s school saying that the 9-year-old allegedly hit her kindergarten aged son in the face.
When the bus approached the intersection of North Roman and Allen, Henry “boarded the bus and immediately asked ‘who hit my son’ and that the children pointed at the boy” according to the police report.
The police report went on to say that Henry “wrapped her hand around his neck area and struck him with a closed fist.” "In this case -- cause she didn't do anything -- a parent was able to get on the bus and beat my child,” she said. “Choke him and slap him up against the windows! I feel like that’s not right at all. Video is bad quality but is in link

We also reached out to Inspire NOLA Charter Schools and the bus company First Student. In a brief statement, Inspire NOLA told us student safety is their top priority and that they’re fully cooperating with NOPD.
First Student said they’re partnering with all local officials and the school district and that the driver has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
"I would like for her to be fired!” Batiste said. “I don't think she should be driving any child, because if you allow this parent to get on the bus, who's to say you're not going to allow it to happen again?"

My kindergartener rode the bus for a couple of months at the start of this school year before we had to change schools. She rode up front with other little kids her age. She's a very small, sweet little girl.
She came home one day complaining about another kindergarten little girl that supposedly pointed and laughed at her one day. I told her to ignore it and talk to her own friends, maybe this girl was jealous or nervous.
But I caught myself giving some serious stink eye to that midget though the bus window a few times.
TLDR: if a 9 year old hit my kid in the face, I'd probably do the same. It'd be a fair fight tho, I'm about the height and weight of some 9 year olds.

You’d be much better off attacking the parents of the shitty kid

A 9 year old hit her 5 year old in the face. I am a big fan of her educating the 9 year old on actions having consequences. She may have saved him from a life of crime and thuggery.

Love how the mom of the 9 yr. old is living in what appears to be public housing but somehow has money for tattoos and a tongue piercing.

This is proof to the 9 year old that there's always someone bigger and badder than you

I’ve got two grandsons (10,5) that ride the bus together. Well one day in September a nine year old was twisting my 5yr olds arm ( the bus driver didn’t notice) his brother seen him crying , takes the nine year old and twists his arm. By this time the bus driver sees what my older grandson is doing and screams to let him go but he didn’t. When I asked I asked him why didn’t you let go when the bus driver told you too? He said my brother was crying and this kid wasn’t yet. Well the bus driver tells my ex son in law that he was reporting it to the school. Nothing ever came of it but if he would have got suspended... Paw Paw would have took off work and brought anywhere he wanted to go
