Flu bug is hitting Ascension Parish quickly

Daycare has had signs up for a week. They had 2 confirmed cases.

Brusly High School had nearly half of the kids out last week, with Friday being the worst day. It is a combination of flu and strep. They said they have never seen that many kids out before. I know we joke about canceling school for no reason but I thought that was a good time to do it, especially Friday. Give everyone 3 days to go home and come back Monday not contagious.

Coppell ISD said more than 350 students were absent Monday.

The district said about 325 students didn’t come to school on Tuesday, reportedly either sick with the flu or flu-like symptoms.

Same here but the throat issues made getting good sleep a bitch. Probably stuck around longer just by me not getting good rest. I never got too bad of a cough at least but now I'm on the upswing staying hydrated and keeping the sinus open is key. These things always seem to settle in for a bonus sinus infection after a week.

Still beats the flu by a mile.

Hope your daughter gets better on the throwing up. Hopefully it's just from the post nasal drip upsetting her stomach.

Damn that’s kind of scary. I’m pretty conjested in my nasal cavity and in my chest so a lot of coughing and blowing my nose but that’s it. No flu symptoms. I’d hate to get the flu

I did get a flu shot and so did my daughter. I have it now and Just had to go get her from Pre-K class. 12 kids in class and 3 have flu and suspecting my little does as well. Getting her in to the doctor this afternoon.
