The worst. Tied with several other southern plains and southeast states.
Good news is that only 9 per 100k being hospitalized.
Last year was 30 hospitalized per 100k and more deaths too.
There's no public vaccine for the h3n2 yet. They have it in tests.
H1n1 was a big deal previously so there's a vaccine.

Well....it is flu season.
So not that shocking that people get the flu DURING flu season.
Wash your hands. Stay home when you are sick. Cover your fricking mouth when you cough and sneeze. Get your flu shot early in the season(need at least 2 weeks before the shot can protect you).

The flu going around SELA is resistant to the flu shot. My wife is a pediatrician and her office is swamped with flu patients. She finally got it, despite her flu shot, and and has barely been out of bed or off the couch for the last 4 days. It takes all your energy away.

Our sons teacher sent out a message last night saying that she has had 8 confirmed cases in her homeroom since Thursday.

I received the flu shot in October, got the flu in December. It took only one night out with friends to get it. SO, who also got the flu shot, got a prophylactic (tamiflu) after I was diagnosed and was fine.
Just a PSA, for me it was a mild flu, and most people would think it’s just a cold. If you catch this in the first couple of days go to the doctor. It’s very contagious and since a lot of people just think it’s a cold are just going about their day. If someone has a compromised immune system, they can become very ill. If you think you have it, don’t spread it around.

It’s amazing how many people are anti flu shot. I lump them in the same class as anti Vaxxers. If more people got the flu shot, the flu would be extremely rare due to herd immunity. The government would be better of mandating it due to all the lost productivity every year.
Either that or it’s a bunch of grown men scared of a needle. (I know, I know...the one time you got the shot you got the flu yadda yadda yadda)

My wife has it. Me and the boy had strep last week, the girl had an ear infection last week.
Wife is a teacher (preK) and her an the other preK teacher both have flu.
Sucks arse. I'm praying that me or the kids don't get it but it seems like it won't end well.
78+ kids at her school and 10 teachers have the flu now.
