Saban was at LSU for 5 seasons.. Had less than 3 losses only once.

The state and image of the program pre Saban does not equal the program that O inherited even if CLM left holes in the roster.

The O apologists are dumb as rocks. Please stop comparing Saban and O. Saban is the best college coach ever and has sodomized O every time they have met on the field. In his five years at LSU, Saban resurrected a perennial loser and won two SEC titles and an NC. O has won nothing. Stop. Saban was a better coach than O at every point in his career.

Saban took over this program and basically built it into a machine that Les Maintained more or less for a decade.
Expectation are different.
LSU was 123-99 in the 20 years before saban got here.
That’s a .551 winning percentage
Saban has us at .750
Les at .77
O is at .75 so far.
So expecting more isn’t unfair.
It’s progress.

Saban took over a program that went 4-7 and 3-8 the prior two years and which had 2 10-win seasons in the prior 37 years. That's called a rebuild.
O inherited a program that went 9-3, 8-5, 10-3, 10-3, 13-1, 11-2 the prior 6 years, and which had 10-win seasons 9 of the prior 19 years, and had top recruiting classes.
O didn't inherit a rebuild.

He turned the program around and won a title in 3 years. Look at how he set up the Miles with the talent he recruited. 05-08 rosters were stacked due to Saban rebuilding the program. Granted he switched some philosophies and schemes after his stint in the NFL. But c'mon man

He was engaged in a turnaround when he came here. You broke dicks forget that.
Balance sheet for a CEO is alway goingto suck when he comes on board for a turnaround. Miles first two teams were loaded and that was because of Saban.

Saban is a better coach now than when he was at LSU. If Orgeron continues to improve, he will be a better coach in five years than he is now.
