Looking at the calf. Wish there was a Smooth Ostrich option instead of Full Quill.

their advertising is not bs, their customer service is top notch, I have 2 pairs and a belt, I would recommend ordering the wide size

Have had the calfskin ropers for about a month now. Big fan. Most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned.

I've heard they are nice but I dont think they have square toe options

So they run a little narrow?

I've been wearing the calf ropers since last summer. The quality is there, the price affordable, and they are conservatively styled (not a work boot, not too Western, no funny toes or other decorative bling issues). I recommend them.

These are basically high heels for men.

Yes. Most comfortable boot I own. Caiman Belly I got a year ago have held up great, look brand new with a little oil every so often. Luckily, I haven't had to deal with their customer service so I can't speak for that.

I have calfskin ropers. Great fit. Started with the lower end boots just to try, will order higher end later.

I had to get square toed boots b/c that was the only option at the supply store (Co paid). I hate looking down at my feet, and I catch them on everything now

Have you ever owned ACME ropers before (they are out of business)....if so...are they as comfortable as ACMEs?

I have a pair of the slate colored suedes with the roper heel. They look damn good, but still need a little bit of break in.

I'm tempted to get the Ostrich.

I have a pair and they are very comfortable. Great price for what you get.

I have two pairs of the lizard. Most comfortable boot I have ever owned. I have a pair I wear everyday and still look pretty good.

Yep. Almost two years on the full quill pair. Extremely comfortable.

Sounds like Tecovas has passed Lucchese as the boot of the OB.
Posted on 1/10/19 at 10:42 am to LSUlefty
What’s the catch with these? Why are they half the price of Lucchese?
Posted on 1/10/19 at 10:43 am to LSUlefty
luchesse caiman is still untouched afaic (without getting into retarded high prices)
