Like them a lot. I originally ordered the Ropers, but when I returned them for the EE I switched to the Western Heel.

It would be nice if they had a physical store. I wear a 12EE in Red Wings, and an 11D in Justin's. That's a big variation

I ordered 3 pair, my regular size in both standard and wide width and half size smaller in wide. I guess I have a narrow foot and kept my regular size and standard width. I would advise doing the same, you should be able to return all 3 if none fit. Just stay on carpet as you try them out.

I bought the Chocolate Ostrich, very comfortable and very well made.

Have bought 2 pairs in the last month. Like the others are saying, half size smaller and a size wider seems like the ticket - I usually wear a 10D, ordered 9.5EE - and they fit like a glove. Chocolate caiman and pecan ostrich were my picks. Absolutely gorgeous and as comfortable a boot as Ive ever put on.

Anybody know if Lucchese has a store anywhere? I tried some on at Cavenders but their selection was limited.

I have the same exact problem. I've started eating into the actual heel now. Have you had them replaced before? Where do you go?

In BR Militello's will replace the heel for you. I have some Lucchese boots that I just send back to them. Unfortunately if I wear them often I'll chew through the outside of the heel in a year.

Thank you sir. I wear my Ariats every day. I just have a feeling that if they can be fixed, its going to cost a fortune and I may as well just buy a new $200 pair.

It's not that expensive just to get the heel replaced. I think it was about $30.

Well, the Tecovas relentless ad campaign finally wore me down and I took the plunge. Looking forward to getting my hands on these.

take it to a shoe repair company. cost is about $6 to $8 if you get someone to do it for you. they will last for a while. replace when you see it giving out.

or amazon and do it yourself.

My wife ordered me a pair for my birthday and they just came in. I’m surprised to say that the wide was too big for me. I’m exchanging them for a half size smaller in the regular. I went with the honey suede in western heel. I may get the grey suede in a roped heel when I exchange them.

I did the opposite. I initially ordered the suede in a Roper and exchanged them for a Western heel in EE.

Wore the Lizard Nolan in Bourbon to dinner last night and at work today. Very impressed with quality and comfort. Got the exact same size as I wear in Luchesse and they fit just the same. Will definitely get another pair.

Are the soles any different between the ropers and western, or is it just the heels?

I wear boots almost every day but have never worn ropers. Need to replace my daily wear which is twisted X, but it has more of a workboot sole. Wondering it ropers mimic that a little more.
