2014 to start, where 6 teams had a “legit claim”
That was easy
Had to rack my brain for a whole entire 4 seasons
And further destroy already minimal credibility.
So, at the end of the 2014 season, TCU and Baylor had legitimate claims as the best team in the country? Okie dokie.

2014 wasn't that long ago. Baylor and TCU really had no claim, and FSU only had one bc they were undefeated
let's say you have the fluke year with 5 undefeateds. you look for other ways to separate 2 or 3 of them as above the others (analytics, e-- t---)

Maybe “arbitrarily” isn’t the right word. Let’s go with “highly subjectively”.
If #4 wins the championship 40% of the time, it’s a little odd that people believe that #5 should have no shot.
you want teams to want to be #1, not #4

Has that ever happened in the history of college football?

Do you even sample size bro? Im not techinally using a sample. I am using the entire population of the CFP history
In that case, there’s no need to expand, we can just have Alabama and Clemson play every year since 80% of the time they have played and the winner was the National Champs

Is it not true that the Alabama-Clemson winner was won 80% of the playoffs?
Posted on 1/11/19 at 7:58 am to H-Town Tiger
It’s all true the playoff committee has chosen the winner 100% of the time

Pride thinks teams like ucf and Mich deserve playoffs even after the fact that it was determined they didn't belong
It's virtue signaling based on emotion. Facts are irrelevant
Something you find a lot with liberals

That’s not the same thing, if you want to say the 4seed has won 40% then why is the fact that the winner of Alabama-Clemson winning 80% of the playoffs not a valid statistic?
Posted on 1/11/19 at 9:11 am to lsupride87
In baseball and basketball, the playoff teams are announced and games start 4-5 days later.
In CFP, it's 21 days ore more between announcement and games.
A lot can happen in that time period.
Then, after 3 weeks between a conf champ games and the semis, you get 6-14 days between the semis and the finals.
The whole schedule is screwed up.
I really think they need to just remove the bowls from the CFP. Have semifinals at the home campus of the higher seed, on the Saturday after the conf champ games, and have the CFP champ at a pre-determined site the Sat after that.
Then just run the bowl games whenever.

How does two of the chosen teams winning 80% of the time combat the potential best team may have been left out? Hell, the same team could have won 100% of the time and it still doesnt combat my argument

I didn't hear you or anyone else ranting about how they should expand the field because #7 would have a shot.

I personally, and many others, will no longer complain if the teams left out all had a clear defined path when the season started that relied on nothing but football results

Can't wait to see FAU and Middle Tenn St in the postseason.

I already said the non power 5 teams need to move on, or accept it. There is nothing in common with them and the P5
Look, I know you love the "gotcha moments", but why dont you just read my actual posts in here and try and have just one real discussion.
