Neither Christmas Vacation nor Christmas with the Kranks has been on the Hallmark Channel and they are Christmas movies.
Die Hard is a movie set at Christmas. Not a Christmas movie. Bruce Willis even said it wasn't a Christmas movie.

You can personally consider it a "Christmas movie", but if Die Hard is your answer when someone asks what your favorite Christmas movie is, you're being an intentionally obtuse tryhard.

Yes, the only time it's ever discussed is around Christmas time especially by those claiming it isn't. Ergo, it's a Christmas movie. It's pivotal to the plot.
