White Light Night website
It's a shame it'll be so cold tonight. I'm game but the wives of our group think it's too cold
In the Mid City Art & Design Cultural District, an evening to celebrate local art and music takes place every November at White Light Night. Meet the artists behind some of the latest trends in the city, and enjoy live music while you shop and eat in the best establishments the area has to offer.
The festival is free and so is the transportation. For those who choose to ride over walk, shuttle service will take you up and down the festival between Jefferson Highway at Goodwood Boulevard and the intersection of Government and 14th streets. Use of ride share apps such as Uber & Lyft is encouraged the night of the event.

I'm not from Baton Rouge and have only been twice for football games so I'm not sure of the layout here. But is that stretch only 8 or 9 blocks like the map suggests? Or is it more spread out than the picture looks? I ask because why in the hell would you need a shuttle service for a street festival that looks like it stretches less than a mile long? Sort of ridiculous to stop at every block as well.
Is Baton Rouge full of people that are too lazy to walk a few blocks?

Good to see Planned Parenthood is involved. I can only imagine the beautiful art on display over there.

I live smack dab in the middle of it. It gets bigger every year. We throw a party at the house.

Over/under 2 people murdered within 2 blocks of this stretch of Government St. I’ll take the over. Some of you people have a death wish.

Wow I can’t wait to look at stupid art with the metrosexuals and liberals of Baton Rouge in the cold

Its really sad that one of the most unique events in Baton Rouge turns into a complaint thread about abortion, crime and racist issues. Only on Tigerdroppings!

I wonder what the "various activities" at Planned Parenthood are?

They should shut down government street for this event. The sidewalks are too small and the crowds are too large for the busy street. The cops were randomly stopping cars for people to cross.
