Baton Rouge White Light Night

White Light Night website
It's a shame it'll be so cold tonight. I'm game but the wives of our group think it's too cold
In the Mid City Art & Design Cultural District, an evening to celebrate local art and music takes place every November at White Light Night. Meet the artists behind some of the latest trends in the city, and enjoy live music while you shop and eat in the best establishments the area has to offer.
The festival is free and so is the transportation. For those who choose to ride over walk, shuttle service will take you up and down the festival between Jefferson Highway at Goodwood Boulevard and the intersection of Government and 14th streets. Use of ride share apps such as Uber & Lyft is encouraged the night of the event.

With crime out of control in Baton Rouge, what could possibly go wrong?

Why does Planned Parenthood have a booth?
Smeared dead fetus on canvas?

Well, it looks like Planned Parenthood will be handing out free abortion vouchers. Just what every festival needs!!

I don't think I'd want to see the BR streets under a black light...

I hope y'all know their primary goal is to help people take steps to prevent unwanted pregnancy in the first place and be an affordable outlet to provide birth control. But don't let facts invade your mind.

Most people understand that. The issue is why does Planned Parenthood have a booth for an event that "celebrates local art and music."

Because their office is on Government Street across from Calandros, right smack dab in the middle of the event.

It won't be that cold. Weather will be near perfect. Bet we get a record turnout.

Why is it so difficult for bitches to understand that if you don't want to get pregnant, you keep your legs shut?

You’d be cool with abstaining except when you’re trying to conceive?

Shouldn’t a white linen night before Labor Day.

This isn't 1896 grandpa. There are legitimate medical options for people to avoid this and not have to fight natural and personal urges which should be their freedom to act upon. Just telling everyone to not have sex is so archaic.

I'm not from Baton Rouge and have only been twice for football games so I'm not sure of the layout here. But is that stretch only 8 or 9 blocks like the map suggests? Or is it more spread out than the picture looks? I ask because why in the hell would you need a shuttle service for a street festival that looks like it stretches less than a mile long? Sort of ridiculous to stop at every block as well.
Is Baton Rouge full of people that are too lazy to walk a few blocks?
