Let's compare to how Georgia featured Nick Chubb.
2015 - had 16 carries against ULM
2016 - Post injury, had 20 carries against Nicholls
2017 - had 15 carries against Appalachain State
2017- had 16 carries against Samford
All of these were in the first 3 games.
In 2015, he had 468 yards on 56 carries after 3 games.
In 2016, he had 365 yards on 71 carries after 3 games.
In 2017, he had 290 yards on 44 carries after 3 games.
Remember, this is Chubb, who had to be protected after his really bad injury.
You guys are making shite up as you go along. And, you are being very intellectually dishonest. Admit the very obvious truth.

All of these were more competitive than MTSU and Austin Peay, and debateably more competitive than USCe. UGA also had significantly less weapons and balance offensively in all of them.

ULM and Nicholls are very well known around here. We know what level they play at. That's just ANOTHER dishonest response that people see through. frick, you just tried to sell people in Louisiana that ULM and Nicholls are more than it appears.

You keep admitting it on accident. There aren't enough balls to go around.
Swift simply isn't being featured. He's not.
We're on an LSU message board. It's not like I'm trying to ruin Georgia's rep on a Georgia board. It's crazy to me that you guys will sit here and try and deny/justify a self-evident situation.
What do you think Emery would say if you said it's a reasonable expectation that he touch the ball say 5-8 times per game? Do yourself a favor. Quit arguing that it's reasonable and start lying and telling him that he's way better than what you have on campus and that he'll be featured (unlike Swift...and Holyfield...and Cook). That's what he wants to hear.

If he grew up an LSU fan and has been recruited and offered...there is NO reason to be speaking like this and saying some other place "shows you love"
He has an offer from his home school, close to his family, and has no reason to compare "love" by other colleges.
The "love" doesnt get you a damn thing. You have to improve and perform and earn playing time wherever you go. Some stupid recruiting "love" means nothing when you show up for practice.
Home is home..pride should matter in that respect.
I hope hes a Tiger, if not, he never was in the 1st place
You take for granted that he grew up an LSU fan in the first place. Not every kid from Louisiana grows up loving LSU (and that's perfectly fine). Also some kids dont want to play close to home. They want to move away and experience life in a different atmosphere (which is also perfectly fine). As far as a kid "wanting love" though I think kids feel like the attention a school shows them reflects how much of a priority they are to that school and therefore how much the coach plans on utilizing them, how the fanbase will receive them, etc. I know most would say that LSU would be a better situation for him because he theoretically should play earlier but if that's the case LSU needs to pitch that to him and make him the priority he should be. Also dont discount the fact that LSU already has two others RBs they've recruited for this very class. Yes those guys may be ranked lower than Emery but he might not be ecstatic about the prospect of sharing touches with two guys in the same grade as him for the next 3-4 years.

We beat Nicholls by 2. Louisiana-Monroe was under Richt so that’s a different game.
I won’t deny it looks weird that Swift has had so few carries, but unless he’s getting fewer than 10-15 touches a game against SEC competition, I’m not super concerned. Chubb and Michel both got plenty of touches last year against good competition. Hell, Swift even got his name out there by performing well in those games. If we can perform to that same level this year, I think we have a good shot at holding on to Emery.

Y’all are the ones talking about not going to UGA because there are too many mouths to feed.
I didn’t even say LSU specifically. It’s not like LSU isn’t trying to recruit themselves into the exact same situation, and they’re perfectly capable of doing so.

Mike Scarbrough is suppose to have an interview with him Friday. It is hard to keep a commitment from a guy in the River Parish area that LSU really wants and needs.

You admitted that at least 5 times. And, the data supports it.
I think most kids pick their school of choice based on emotion rather than an evaluation of facts. I'd put Emery to Georgia at about 80% for that reason...and LSU probably isn't 2nd place. That's his choice and I hope he ends up going where he wants and to a place that gives him the best opportunity to be showcased.
If I'm being honest, I don't think that's Georgia. That's not a knock on Georgia...it's a reflection on the depth chart.
It's been fun seeing 4 different Georgia fans come into this thread and do exactly what I predicted. You guys have denied an obvious reality that could be viewed as a problem and have gone so far as to plant a rumor (a damaging one at that) about Swift to justify his lack of usage. To be honest, that's fricked up.
Like I said, Emery is a stud. And, he needs to be fed the ball. If he ends up at Georgia, I hope that happens. I really hope you guys don't give him the Swift/Holyfield/Cook treatment.

I have done neither of these things, but whatever.

It wasn't you. But, it happened. It happened after I predicted as much.
In short, it's a problem. While you guys pretend it is not, your reactions pretty much prove it is.
In the end, it won't matter because kids pick based on emotion.
I don't have anything against Georgia. Hell, I'd much rather a recruit go to Georgia than a SEC West opponent. But, with that said, I don't have to lie to myself or others here and pretend that Georgia is the best fit for him.

With all due respect, as an outsider, how the heck can you know what’s best for him?

Hey Emery, you will start at LSU. Why wouldn't
you come?

See it's shite like this that sends your credibility out the window.
I could ask a librarian in Maine which - out of South Carolina, ULM, Nicholls, App State and Samford - fielded the best team and even she would say South Carolina.
You were accused of intellectual dishonesty earlier. This is Exhibit A. We get it, you really want Emery to be your third stringer for two years. But you need a better argument for why he should agree to do that for you than this.
At least assume that Emery is not a retard.

Yep. Had Akers come here, he'd be part of a top 10, 3-0 Tiger team instead of a grease fire in Tallahassee.
This one is different. For Emery, it's whether he wants to play close to home so his family can more easily attend games while still competing at the highest level. And, given our depth chart, whether he's like to be a household name by the end of 2019. Or whether he wants to go way out East, ride the pine for a few years and, assuming he avoids injury and is the best back that year, make a name for himself in 2021.

We were up on South Carolina by 31 in the 3rd quarter.
We beat Nicholls by 2. Those should not be comparable teams, but it doesn’t mean we played them that way.

Just keep winning and growing as a team. These highly rated kids want to be on a team full of champions. I would put him with D. White and Jacob Phillips along with Joe Burrow and Myles B.
D. White is the perfect person to explain to him the importance of helping your in state school when you can and have no reason to not do so. I think he will see the light very soon. Their backfield is loaded. LSU needs him to load ours. He will simply be depth for them while being a starter for the Tigers.
You just can't get any better than that when the Tigers are on an upswing and we are. I just think he wants to be on a great team and if that team is LSU then he won't mind coming play for this team.
I also think LSU will beat either Georgia or Bama possibly both this year. We will put up a great fight with both at the very least. I think he and Davis will come in and start immediately next year so he will be playing with Burrow who is a great leader at QB. Hopfully that leadership is passed down to Myles and I honestly think there couldn't have been a better situation for him. I think he knows that too and is soaking it all in. He's paying close attention to how Burrow carries himself on game day most importantly. I don't think there is an issue with him studying film or working hard but his game day attitude needed some work. Just needs to mature and take care of his body in this time frame.
If Myles does these things he will be one of the best QBs to ever play at LSU and I have no doubt in my mind. His arm and accuracy is insanely good. Now he simply needs to work on the small things and become a real leader. If I'm him I would start now too. I would be going all along the sideline talking to everyone no matter if I'm starting or not. I would start that leadership role now. So when the time comes everyone knows who their leader is and he's comfortable in that role.
Go get em Myles B.
