Not all of Pawn Stars‘ Richard Harrison‘s kids were included in his will.

Harrison, known “Old Man” on the hit reality show, left one of his three sons out of his final will.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Harrison originally named his wife and three children as beneficiaries, with his son and Pawn Stars costar Rick named as the administrator of the estate.

But in 2017, Harrison signed an updated document that cut his son Christopher out from the will.

“I would like to express my love and affection for [Christopher Harrison]; however for the purposes of this Will, I have intentionally and with full knowledge failed to provide for him and his issue,” state the documents.

Christopher is the youngest of the three sons. It is not clear as to why he was cut out.

The documents do not state how much Harrison’s estate is worth.

Damn. I dont know about their situation but I’d like to think that if that happened to me I’d still split with my brother equally. Because, well, family.

Maybe “his issue” is drugs and he felt like he would be enabling that

If his issue is a drug addiction or something, then maybe that’s a good thing

It’s not cold. That’s his money and his decision.

Funny since they once did a skit about Rick reworking his will and possibly leaving out his kids

The old man flat left his grandkids out, too. That's what "his issue" legally means used like that in a will. He cut his son and all of his son's descendants out.

It really could be anything, though. Perhaps that son needed a lot of money for something legitimate that he just didn't have. He goes to the old man and the family and asks for the money. They agree that the old man will fund whatever the son asks for, but that counts as his inheritance. The will is rewritten to explicitly exclude that son and his kids from any claim on the remaining estate, a fat check is written, and everyone is happy.

It's not always bad blood or anything like an addiction or something lurid like that when someone's left out of a will. It may just be an estate planning sort of thing.

In legal terms, doesn’t “issue” refer to a beneficiary’s offspring ?

There are few things in life that hurt more than being the one left out of a parent’s will.

The other kid left in the will

quote:

son Joseph Kent Harrison has no ties to the entertainment industry. According to The National Inquirer, he is a member of the notorious biker gang known as Vagos, and has been charged with several felony crimes over the years. The Inquirer claims that Joseph participated in a 1997 home invasion with the Vagos that resulted in an innocent man being beaten.

Harrison was reportedly slapped with extortion charges in 1999, and was subsequently sentenced to between four and 10 years in prison. The Inquirer states that was sentence was drastically cut down for good behavior, and that he released after serving just two years.

In 2014, TMZ claims that Richard was unwittingly lured into helping Joseph and the Vagos dodge criminal charges. The report states that The Old Man hosted a Valentine’s Day party, and the various raffles offered during the party allowed the Vagos to take the proceeds and put them into slush funds to pay their lawyers.]

Although I can understand if son is rich or something on his own. My parents left my sister out of will but she sold a company 15 years ago for 60 million and still leases the land for the business at 90k a month. So she is good, but she is in the will for personal possessions.

They could just be estranged...this is a quote from the LVRJ

quote:

Christopher Harrison had never been on “Pawn Stars” and Corey Harrison said he hadn’t seen his uncle in 20 years.

I can scarcely believe a family in the pawnbroking business would be trashy. There must be some mistake.

If I were Christopher, I’d call an expert I know who can be here in about 10 minutes to look over the will.
