re: Locating a leak. Using 17,500 gallons a month.

I had a leak under the slab as well. It wasn’t enough to make a noticeable difference in my water bill (I think it was about 20 gallons per day) but I could hear a hissing sound coming from a wall near the pipe. No water anywhere but saw the meter indicator moving very slowly. Pipe was fixed by lining with PEX.
I don’t understand having a leaky toilet flapper and losing 200 gallons a day and not being aware. I had a leaky flapper once and knew because I could hear the tank auto-filling every couple of hours or so when the level in the tank dropped to a certain point.
Ironite on Centipede

Is it too late/hot to spray liquid Ironite on Centipede lawn?
Many labs are participating in studies and send a certain number positives from the general test for gene sequencing. Gene sequencing is done at labs such as CDC, state labs, university research labs, etc. The results of this indicate how much of the different variants are in the general population at any given time. I hear doctors and hospital infection control departments can request sequencing as well.
I lose between 1/8” and 1/4” per day in summer when there is no rain. That’s normal evaporation. I lose even more than that at other times of the year on windy days when the humidity is low.
Centipede is looking a little pale

Can I use milo at this time of year? I haven’t put anything on it since mid April.
How old is the roof?
I had success 2 years ago rubbing regular Roundup on the leaves using a piece of foam rubber (and wearing disposable gloves).
I thought as of July 1 you have to quarantine in Boston for 14 days.

Came as quite a surprise, but The Merry Piglets Mexican Grill was some of the best Mexican food I ever had.

You need to be part of a tour group with a Navajo guide so book in advance. You can’t enter the canyons on your own.
We stopped in Page for an overnight after Bryce and did Lower Antelope the next morning before heading to the Grand Canyon South Rim that afternoon. Delicious casual BBQ at Big John’s in Page.
For Upper Antelope I understand they take you out there in Jeeps. For Lower Antelope you walk to it from the tour company office and it’s not that far. For Lower, you do have to climb up and down some metal ladders, most are short 4-6 step ladders except for the initial decent ladders, and go through some narrow passageways. Being in my late 50’s but otherwise in ok shape, I fretted over this beforehand, but it was no big deal and there were people way older than me doing it.
It’s a great experience that you will never forget.

Yes, I went almost 2 years ago and it was a highlight of my Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon trip.
Book months in advance (we booked Ken’s tours). The pictures I took are unbelievable.

I think the confusion was that both the 8.6 oz and the 4.3 oz were in 1 gallon of water so the concentration seemed way off between the label and the LSU paper. But if it works for you that’s all I need to know. Thanks.
That’s the same thing I got at my plant store. They said it was from LSU. Seems like a lot of Atrazine, twice what the label on the bottle says for 1 gallon of water so I was questioning this.
Winter Weeds in Centipede
Posted by lsu1980 on 2/5/20 at 4:16 pm
What are the correct proportions for mixing each of these together in 1 gallon of water in a sprayer:
Ferti-Lome Weed Free Zone
Hi-Yield Atrazine
Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker
The amounts seem to vary widely depending on the source. What are the correct amounts to kill the weeds but not the centipede grass?

I’m on day 3 of getting off of a cruise ship in California with a lot of Chinese people on it and I have a sore throat too.

And a couple of applications of Milorganite inbetween
We went the last week in May a few years ago and it was perfect. Chilly in the mornings (upper 30s) but warmed to around 70 quickly. No rain for us that week. Crowds in Jackson Hole and Yellowstone were very manageable.
