Haven’t ran in a few years (early college) but am looking to get back in shape. Been running a couple miles per day the past few weeks. My first mile is usually right at 8 and then finish second at about a 9 minute pace.
I used to run 5:30/12:30/21 (1/2/3) in high school
:(
I haz sads

Slow as shite.
I’m happy with a 10 min pace.

shite yeah - I'm slow but I enjoy the jog. My competitive edge only comes when others are with me, then I die.

Depends on how I’m training, but could probably knock out 13 at about 8:30
I wish I trained hard in high school, I feel like I could have been so much faster back then but didn’t put in as much effort as I could have looking back

Depends on distance. I feel satisfied if I kncok out 3 at 7:00/mile.
Best half was right at 8:27/mile.
Never ran in highschool. Picked up the habit at 29.

I ran 10 right under a 6:00 pace in high school...finished in like 59:56 or something around that.
I stopped running for many many years (I’m 35 now). Just recently picked it up again, though I really only run 1 day a week. I ran 3 right under an 8:00 pace last weekend and I was stoked.

Depends on the run.
Trails are 9:30-10
Long runs are usually 8:20-8:45
Speed work is 8 and under

honestly, I have no idea
I haven't really trained for anything in a few years and haven't ran an actual 5k race in over year
I might sign up for one soon just to see if I can still break 21 minutes
I'm confident I can still go sub 6 on a mile though, but it's going to hurt

I stopped caring about pace a year or two ago because I got burnt out. I just run with a group for the talking and comradery.
Short runs 8:30’s
Longer runs 9:00’s

Non runner, I run 1 5k per year. I put my wife’s gps watch on and run a 10 minute pace. Then look behind me to see if anyone is behind me, if they are I drink a few beers and get to training for next year

I ran high 17s to mid 18 minute cross country 5k’s in high school and can’t even finish a road 5k now at 30yo, so it could be worse.

Before I broke my hip I had a 8:22 mile. 3 mile was 34 and some change. That was at 280+ lbs so I gradually went to shite. I haven't even attempted a sprint since before the hip much less trying to run miles. I'd probably fall over in 1/2 mile

Slow as frick. Getting better everyday though.

Two problems now, one is the heat , which slows me down considerably. Maybe +1 to 2 minutes per mile slower.
Second problem is my age. I just can't click at the faster paces like I used to, however I haven't tried to do many sprint trainings.

At 30 years old I knock 3 out at about 7-7:15 pace.
Graduating Marine Corps boot camp, I ran 3 miles in 16:45.
ETA: just did 1.5 miles in 10 minutes so I was about right. Kicked my old arse though

I went 5 miles at 6:45/mile this morning. It was tough. Like running in an oven. My heart rate was high the entire time

I'll typically run about 8:15-8:30/mile but with once summer hits I have to slow down my pace to around 9:30/mile.
Running in Louisiana during the summer is fricking brutal.
