Georgia says hello. But hey we both have Mississippi to beat up on after our big bully neighbors remind us how shitty we are.

But seriously AL has taken strides over the past decade or so to really separate itself from the real bottom of the barrel states it is usually associated with. And I can at least be proud of that. I have no complaints about my life in AL right now.

I did. It's a wasteland between Tuscaloosa and the western state line.

It's much like Louisiana except it has shittier fishing and food.

South Alabama is tough to beat. That's where I plan on retiring to.

I'm confused. Go through my post history. I was pro-Big Luther because the Emperor endorsed him, yet I got downvoted and everyone was on the Roy Moore train, now it's the opposite. Some on this board swing way too often.

Been to Decatur, Huntsville, Cullman and the Smith lake area among other places. I stand by original statement. I'm certain there are some nice areas, but shithole overall.

No idea where that is. Lots of big money guys here in Nashville have been buying up lots of land down in Huntsville.

I think Huntsville is going to blow up.

Alabama is nice all the way south (southern Baldwin County and parts of Mobile, somewhere in the middle with Birmingham surrounding areas, and to the north in Huntsville areas

The in between parts are white trash, career generational welfare recipients, BFE

Montgomery, our capital, is an absolute shite hole

On a side not: deer hunting is fantastic in the black belt regions, along the rivers and basically anywhere 100~ north of the coast. And don't discount Lake Guntersville for absolute prime bass fishing

Colorado, Utah, Idaho, western NC, etc. Don't worry, I think most places are shitholes. Low income housing being prevalent along with little to do. Another sort is an overcrowded city that is a pain in the arse to get around. Louisiana is a shithole except for a few places too. Point is, Alabama is not underrated. Most other places are probably overrated, like Texas.

That's basically all I'm saying. In most states the shithole areas outnumber the nice areas, unless it's a state with vast swaths of minimally developed land.

I can see what you're saying. I was born and raised in Fairhope and live there currently and for me to say Alabama is a shite hole as a collective statement wouldn't be accurate. If one were to travel to Montgomery for my first experience in Alabama I would want to shoot myself for ever going there. This place has more to offer than what the typical perception of Alabama is.

BB, been thru the hold state many times. Like Louisiana, the north is trash compared to the south. But here in Louisiana, southeast really is a shite hole till one gets below New Orleans.

The culture of the people there is shockingly boring so outside of some natural scenery that can be bested in other nearby states, hard to find a reason to live there if you aren't from there.
