All I'll say is I can't wait to see the truth come out and we get to see the way the characters on the show handle it. It should be pretty good.
I agree. I can't wait to see the reaction on here of those who aren't familiar with the book. HBO has been pretty good with these 8-episode series.
And so far the show is staying pretty close to the book.. seems like they're progressing at a pace that will allow them to wrap it up in 5 more episodes.

All I know is the show is doing a good job of making just about anybody a suspect. And confirming Wind Gap is absolutely full of shitheels.

I really like the show so far and reading this thread. I am just really worried someone is going to ruin the ending for us. It’s nice to watch a show during its tv run every once in a while, nice change from binge watching most shows.

Going with gut feelings, I think Adora is involved with the murders. Something that both of the murdered girls have in common is that they are from families that keep to themselves and are outsiders. Adora seems so invested in tradition, propriety, and the status quo of the town that I could imagine her lashing out at any perceived blemish on it. That would also reframe her opposition to Camille’s investigation. My gut also says that she’s not working alone and that there’s a conspiracy, maybe with other womenfolk of the town.
It would be one thing to lash out at the girls. But to pull teeth from 2nd girls mouth. I don't think Adora is capable of doing such a thing.

I've said as much as I'll say, at least. I don't want to be the a-hole that ruins it Besides, I am enjoying watching the show just as much as I enjoyed the book. I'm trying to watch without letting the book influence me

I was watching with the wife and thought when during the interview of Natalie's brother, the girlfriend said "I can't have my boyfriend me a baby killer."
Anyone else catch that? Was wondering if she was hinting that maybe Natalie was pregnant? Possible connection between the two murders, both young girls who had gotten pregnant in a small town?

i just assumed she was referring to the younger girls who were murdered. She seemed like she wanted to act older and more mature.

Meredith makes me uncomfortable

I think you're onto something here... Camille is similar to the girls that were murdered. By all accounts, these girls are loners, tomboys, non-traditional in that sense. Adora lost her "doll" of a daughter and was left with the tomboy... this may be her way of coping or "getting even" with the universe.

On a side note, Spotify has an official Sharp Objects playlist with all the Led Zeppelin on it too.

Do we really think Adora is capable of overpowering a teenage female? I surely don't think so. Adora suffers from impulse control. But to mutilate two teenage girls is a step too far. I believe her and Amma are red herrings.
Fun note, the actress who played Alice (Sydney Sweeney) was also in The Handmaids Tale. She's killing it this summer.
The spotify playlist is pretty dope. I'm glad to see bands like Sylvan Esso & The Acid get more pub.

It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s someone connected to the things that happened to Camille as a kid. You figure a male her age or a little bit older would be strong enough to overpower a teenage girl and pull her teeth like that.

Giving this the ‘ol bump for tonight’s show.
Admittedly a little nervous to see Camille’s “tour” that includes that fricking shack.

I’ve been looking forward to this all week honestly

I feel like tonight’s episode will be very uncomfortable.

There’s a lot we don’t know. Plus Camille is the classic “unreliable narrator”

Didn't think to check the board for a thread on here.
Loving the show so far.

I'm pretty sure it gets more complicated. It's been so long that i can't remember all of the book.
