Anyone else watching this one?

Has that True Detective vibe, with all the elements coming together perfectly. Great addition to the Southern Gothic canon, and just give the Emmy to Amy Adams now...

My wife and I are enjoying it so far. Same director as big little lies and has similar, albeit darker, feel.

It’s been awhile since I have done week to week watching, i am enjoying the change of pace

Why do y'all refuse to search for topics before posting shite. There's already been like 2 threads on it.

I did do a search, nothing came up. Thanks, sage.

Look, I don't care if you did make the third thread about this show. But I just searched, and there are 2 more threads created in the last week about Sharp Objects. So either you're lying, or the search function broke for the first time ever when you used it.

I barely could watch when Camille put the needle under her fingernail. Holy shite that has to be painful.

So far it’s ok, but IMO not in the same league as True Detective S1 or even Big Little Lies

I just don’t really care about the characters yet. We will see

I'm really enjoying it so far. All of the small-town gossip and superstitious stuff reminds me of north Louisiana. Amy Adams can act her arse off, and the detective and sheriff are playing good roles.

Most of the main characters are women, so it's an adjustment. Also, Smart's character is just as whack as Rust Cohle (if not more so) but she doesn't have a Marty to bounce things off of to humanize her better for us.

Not in the same league as TD1 yet, but definitely has potential. Great start so far. Will check out the book for sure.

She swings for the fences every time it seems. She'd be interesting to watch reading the phone book, much less playing the worst cutter in the history of entertainment.lol

Not fair to use TD season 1 as comparison for other shows

Same here, I'm a sucker for dark murder mysteries like this. Its a slow burn for sure, but I like the direction this is going so far.

HBO
Dark/eerie murder mystery
Amy Adams caliber actor

I’ll give any show like that a chance

OP why don't you make this the season long thread? That way people will stop bitching and moaning about multiple threads ( which really isn't that big of a deal)
