Not sure - would love to hear input from others. A lot of stuff happening in last 10 minutes. Dark episode for sure

My girlfriend and I will be watching. It’s probably a top five book for her. I will try to read the book first.

I just started watching the series today and caught up with the new episode tonight. I think it's really good, and definitely strikes a few chords with TD season 1. Think they nailed the casting, as most of supporting cast are real southerners, with everyone's accents pretty good. I grew up in a small town in MS and the show's portrayal is spot on IMO.

They have done a good job at showing the main cast who could be killers with a healthy amount of skepticism without leading the audience on too much. The random shots of the dad makes me wonder for what reason, though, but most of the other townsfolk pointing fingers just seems like genuine gossip. What's with Patricia Clarkson babying her youngest so much? Some of her caregiving is questionable

Elizabeth Perkins is like 60 and her and Eleven's resemblance is crazy.

Looks like the mom is trying to preserve Amma to be like doll-like, like Marion.

Camille must’ve been into the rough stuff with the boys ( I.e. the shed), and the cutting / rehab /her roommates suicide, that was some heavy stuff

As a big fan of Led Zeppelin I love that she listens to them, almost exclusively.

I caught that. Weird moment for sure. But I can't blame the guy...looks like he hasn't gotten any in about 29 years.

Is that Camille's dad? Or only Amma's dad?

According to IMDb Camille and amma have different last names. So he is only her father.

Unless there is a drastic shift in narrative I think we are heading in the direction that Amma is involved if not the murderer hereself. I think it would be rather lame if they introduced some random outsider now since the show’s focus has been pretty narrow.

Yep it's been almost all Zeppelin and M. Ward.

The last scene last night was insane.

Also, I dislike Adora more than any other character in anything I've ever seen. I assume that's what they were going for.. and it's working.

ETA: I've read the book so I have to avoid spoilers on here

this is first time I have watched a show like this week to week in awhile. I really wish I could just binge it because I am so curious to where it’s going.

I've got the book on deck to read but the show came out before I could get to it so I'm holding off.

This last episode, especially the last ten minutes, was fantastic.

I'm guessing they raped the frick out of her in that shed for her to be doing all the cutting. I'm interested in seeing who who some of the boys are as adults. I'm guessing one of them is the guy that she keeps seeing with that other group of guys (like at the house post-funeral and at the bar) that keeps giving her a look and walking away.

I think the Dad is just checking the hell out from all the Adora crazy, especially now that Camille is back in town to intensify it.

ETA: I also suspect the Chief is possibly involved somehow, even if it's not the murders itself. He's got a creep show vibe for sure.

I was digging around looking for some info on the show and came across an article about the book. Before I realized it, I'd read most of the plot, so I know where it's going and who the killer is.

All I'll say is I can't wait to see the truth come out and we get to see the way the characters on the show handle it. It should be pretty good.

Given how graphic the show has been, I am not entirely sure I am ready to find out just how fricked Camille’s past is.

The self harm stuff really freaks me out. I am not sure why but cutting freaks me out.

I’m betting the little sister is killing people

With the way she's acting it seems like it would be too obvious that she is doing it. Unless her and Camille are doing it together. The way she is cool with Camille when minute then taunting her the next seems like it means something...

I was confused by Adora saying these murders felt like a personal attack on her cause of losing her daughter. From what we’ve been shown, her daughter wasn’t killed was she? Maybe that line was just another sign of Adora making everything about herself.

Is Camille so out of it that she didn’t realize it probably wasn’t a good idea to tell Alice that nothing gets better in the future? She gave a young girl looking for a reason to off herself a reason.

My top picks for killer are Jackie or Ashley(cheerleader outfit girl).
