She’s off and nothing about her seems normal in the least bit (I had an issue with her after the whole cheerleading outfit in the middle of the summer wardrobe change. Who the frick does that)
Given what happen to Camille in the woods in JH/HS. I’m surprised that didn’t trigger something.

I preferred the book ending as well. But the movie ending wasn’t terrible and wrapped up the entire situation tightly imho.

I didn't know the book ending to Gone Girl was different. I might read it one day. Gillian Flynn has a lot of great ideas.

How old is she supposed to be? She's in HS but her boyfriend is at least 21, right?

Wait a minute, Amma was definitely dead on the floor in that shed.
I think that was just Camille envisioning the worst when she realizes what the KC detective told her earlier about it likely being someone who watched the girls play in the shed and John Keene telling her that Amma played out there too.

One would assume so, but the town bar doesn’t seem like they would be too strict on underage drinking

She looks 15 and I get the feel that's about how old she's supposed to be. Suprisingly, the actress is 18.
Edit: I'm talking about Amma, I realize now you may be talking about the cheerleader. I haven't watched tonight's episode yet.
My favorite parts of the show are when Camille is driving around in a haze while listening to good music. Kind of has that True Detective season 1 vibe.

So where was Camille coming from at the beginning of the episode? She crawls out of a ditch and gets back in her car.
This show is incredibly captivating. I don’t know that i can call it great, but it reels you in and leaves you wanting more.
Really anxious to see how it plays out.

It was out where she saw her dead sister in the road when she got upset and started hauling arse back to St. Louis. I’m guessing she pulled over and passed out in her car. And was popping a squat in the ditch or something when she woke up.

Amma? Id say she’s 14 or 15. In E3, while Amma is drunk. She makes the statement “Adora says I’m almost a women” to Camille. Amma doesn’t have car and neither do her female friends.

During Camille’s haze in E3. She threw her iPod out of the car. She was retrieving it from the ditch.
I found it interesting how everyone started their day in this episode and what music they were listening to. Camille is clearly coming out of a drunken depressive state, Sheriff wakes up to his wife playing some cassette tapes and Adora’s morning seemed like something out of “Gone With The Wind”.

I noticed they all had fans of some sort in their opening scene. It was interesting.

This series is exactly what true detective should have transpired into. Creepy, Small town murder stories with incredible acting. However I don’t think any other series has made my stomach churn more than Sharp Objects. Incredibly uncomfortable.
Is this the first time we find out Amma was close to the two girls? Amma really is a true wild card; I don’t think she murdered anyone but I could definitely see her being involved. She’s has such an extremely manipulative personality that is very suspicious. I don’t think she is going to be kidnapped or found dead - but it is interesting that she could be the next target if she used to hang out with the two victims.
What is going on with the husband? Is about to kill himself at the end of episode 4? The last 5-10 minutes of episodes 3 and 4 have been exhilarating.
I think the music teacher might be the killer. Maybe Amma knows - she mentioned something to him about not being able to change history.
Last comment / question: what is the time frame of Camille and the rehab center? Is this a flashback?

Don’t think John Keene is 21. He might be like 19, first year out of school. The guy who owns the bar said in an earlier episode that he knew John was underage, but was letting him drink there because of what happened to John’s sister.
Camille was definitely looking for the phone she had thrown out. They make it a point to show her coming out of the grass with it, then show her play music again.
Wait what? Where did you get this from? Did I miss something? Alice was way younger than Camille, and I feel like Alan has been around from the time Camille and Marian were really young. Plus, didn’t they show Alice’s parents?

But it was a while back since her roommate that killed herself was her current step dads daughter and Camille didn’t know her at that time

quote:Amma told Camille that people don't realize how convincing she can be. Also, Sheriff Vickery coming to Adora to tell her "Camille is dangerous and Amma is in danger".

Ah that makes sense

Yeah, not sure where he got that from.

i think you're getting that scene confused... He was with Adora when they came to visit Camille in the rehabilitation center when Adora threw the flowers on the ground. He was not there as her roommate's father.

I agree. This feels like a sequal to True Detective season 1.

Yeah, I was thinking he was the boy with the shiteating grin on his face in camille's football team flashback
I also wonder if Amma is using him to kill for her.
This series has been incredible so far
