Did the GOP steal a SCOTUS seat?

That's what I read on FB.
"Even if Kavanaugh was to the left of Bernie Sanders, I'd still oppose him. Simply put, Republicans stole a SCOTUS seat. If that happened in any other country, we'd call it a political coup. That Republicans are now on the verge of shifting power in our judicial branch is tyrannical. This is a constitutional crisis.
Also, a President under investigation for treason (maybe not on paper, but that's what it boils down to) shouldn't be naming *anyone* to a lifetime judicial appointment. Especially not someone who could be the deciding vote on whether or not he can be charged with a crime."

But a left leaning Court isn't tyrannical?

Womp womp Bitches!
I voted for Trump thinking I'd get at least one justice.
Now that we can get two, I'd vote Trump all day!

So the GOP is full of tyrants for playing by the rules set forth by the Constitution but the Dems aren't tyrannical when they try every play in the book to undermine the Constitution? Weird perspective.

Doesn't matter. Democrats can literally do nothing short of killing each and every SCOTUS nominee Trump nominates.

No. Republicans followed the Biden Rule

Yes, left murdered Scalia fair and square. That was their seat

Americans didn't want Obama to appoint another judge. That's why Republicans controlled both the House and the Senate at the time. And he tried replacing Scalia with a left-of-Kennedy type. The will of the people was against him. In the upcoming midterms, it's looking like Republicans will gain seats in the House and the Senate. Suck it and move on, ****.
And now for something completely different.

Stealing the seat?!
Libtards are fun when out of power.
The Senate did not confirm the nomination. They didn’t burgle the furniture like the Clintons leaving the White House!

Are you so ignorant of history that you don't know the answer to this?

Bush nominated Alito in 2006. He still had two more years left on his term. Not “on his way out.” What turtle McConnell did with the Garland nominee is unprecedented. Refusing to even hold a vote while the president still had a year left before leaving office.

"With advice and consent of the Senate"
I figured you'd be all about consent Toddy.

quote:Would you look at that, illiterate dumnshits on the Left think Trump is a traitor, just like illiterate dumbshits on the Right think anyone who disagrees with THEM is a traitor.
a President under investigation for treason (maybe not on paper, but that's what it boils down to)
The comparison will fly over the heads of both.

He nominated Garland in March when the president election was that November.. He didn't 'still have a year before leaving office.'
