I hate those stupid list articles that make you swipe or click for each entry. It's a coy to sell more advertising and I usually get tired of it after 3-4 swipes.

ETA - never mind. I read this earlier on the desktop site and it was that format. At least the mobile version isn't like that.

Slavery has pulled that number down pretty low.

Older people near the end of their careers make more than young people at the start of their careers. Groundbreaking study here. What a waste of time and money studying something so obvious

I’d love to see a breakdown for ‘non-janitor’ jobs.

Is Tennessee the only state where Gen X makes more than Baby Boomers?

This seems reaaaaally low. I don’t consider myself to be an OT baller but I make way more than all of these.

They must be averaging in the unemployed and homeless or something.

District of Colombia
Millennial: $60,000
Gen Xer: $90,000
Baby boomer: $75,000

The swamp pays well.

California
Millennial: $38,000
Gen Xer: $56,000
Baby boomer: $60,000

I have no idea how Californians can afford those housing prices.

Turns out I am poor after all, thanks for sharing. Wishing everyone a great day at work, because based on this news, I’m not the only poor soul working this week.

A general average is a bit misleading and probably skews the stats a bit low. A better gauge would be level of education like didn't complete HS, some college, 4 year degree, graduate, etc...
