This baw has a 10 year old f250 financed for 84 months, and gold plated truck nuts.

Only a dumbass would ride a bike on narrow, crumbling River Road with cars doing 70 in a 55 when there’s a bike path right there on the levee.

I witnessed a guy hit a kid riding a bike near River Road. But that was the night of the 2010 LSU-Alabama game.
Good times...

Dude on four wheels was high as a kite.

Driver was high when he hit that cyclist?
frick him to death.

I’m pretty sure it was Toddy.

From my understanding.
Cannot say though whether or not the cyclist was wearing a helmet.

Cyclist should be wearing a helmet if he's training.
Driver was high, driving, and hit a bike? frick him to death.

Way to stereotype buddy. Actually it's just a half ton (that's a full size truck but the smallest kind with no truck nuts) a couple years old and fully paid off. You probably drive a Prius with a together Baton Rouge sticker on the back right next to the Hillary sticker.

Probably was being an a-hole like most cyclists

All of these ghost bikes posted everywhere should be a warning not ride on the fricking road. People’s attention is too fractured these days.

Isn't there an age limit for street cycling?
I have no sympathy for douche bags that bicycle down the middle of a two lane road.
Then have the attitude that THEY have more right to be there than you in your vehicle.
frick'em.
And not I didn't hit the old bastard.

Should have got his old arse out of the way

Cyclists have a hard time understanding that just because you legally CAN do something, that doesn’t mean you SHOULD.
Just because something is legal doesn’t mean doing it is actually endorsed. Smoking is legal and it’s extremely stupid. You can legally mountain climb with no rope. Two guys just fell off El Capitan last week doing that.

I'm a cyclist and a lot of guys are absolute morons about where they ride. River road is dangerous to ride to begin with. I know guys who will ride it on foggy mornings.

Cycling on the roads is dumber than the motorcycle people that get made fun of. At least with motorcycle you have some power and a chance to avoid something happening. On a bike you're just fricked. Aside from being extremely annoying to people who have somewhere to be, it's just stupid as hell. It sucks for the guy and his family. This fad needs to die already. Roads are overcrowded as is.

It is illegal to run over a bicyclist, like it or not.
It's retarded to take up a hobby that occupies the same space as 6000lbs machines moving at enormous speeds with unimaginable scenarios based on the other 6000lbs machines actions occuping the same space, like it or not.
I left out the leotard wearing part

Roads are for cars. The levee has a perfectly good paved bike path on top of it that has no cars.
How much is paved. There was recently another stretch opened for biking/walking. If the levee was paved for 30 miles south from BR, it would be plenty but that won't happen.
And some of them guys/gals ride 100 miles in a day. Not enough paved area to do that except for on roads.
