Fulton did the right thing and poured out fake pee, then used his own pee and passed the drug test. 2 year ban with no redshirt allowed. Are you kidding me?

Lol he didn’t “do the right thing”
He was caught red handed and panicked

The NCAA doesn’t patrol neighborhoods to enforce gun and drug laws.
The NCAA does enforce the rules it sets for its voluntary participants.
A redshirt wasn’t lost.
Where do you people come from?

This is not an NCAA issue. It's not even a conference issue. I know that may be hard to comprehend, but that is strictly a school issue.
Fulton was an NCAA administered drug test. Apples and oranges.

He dumped the urine when he got caught.

Lol no way a rational person thinks he did the right thing. He cheated, got caught and did what anyone who gets caught doing something wrong does. Throw away the evidence lol

Cam Robinson played for Alabama. See the difference?

When are you people going to understand the difference between Alabama and anyone else.
You start threads comparing the two like you’re clueless.
Also, Fulton poured it out when he was caught. But, yes, he didn’t use the pee, he used his own. And his pee wasn’t completely clean either, but it was clean to what they were testing for.
Either way he’s been punished beyond belief and needs to be reinstated. The end.

Cajun, I think the take home point from all this is we are talking about student athletes. Committing crimes and using illegal drugs like they overslept for a class. Seems like cfb has a bigger problem in the grand scheme of things

Listen,
If you’re pro NCAA in this get fricked.
2 years is an insane policy.
And they make the policy.

True.
What he did was trying to cheat the system. He only poured it out because he was caught. Had the drug testing person not looked his way, he WOULD have used it. He was smart enough to know what he was doing.
The end result was he “attempted” to cheat. He ended up using his urine and passing the test.
He served enough time for what he “attempted” to do. I think he learned a huge lesson.
The NCAA has serious issues within themselves. They should back off on trying to intentionally ruin a student athlete’s career.
They’re far from perfect to be dropping hammers the way they do.

And our attempted guilt trip would carry more weight if we were fighting this when it became policy 5 years ago and not when we would directly benefit from the NCAA changing their rule in the middle of a case.

Fulton was given a pee cup, and when he found out it wasn't his own, he poured it out to prevent any shenanigans from taking place. Totally did the right thing and is being unfairly punished. imho fwiw tioli iwhi baw

Fulton didn't "do the right thing" He panicked and was punished for it. 2 years is pretty fricking excessive, but those are the rules. At least for now.
As far as comparing us to bama, Cam didn't miss a single game for what happened due to the same reason Tim Williams can fail multiple drug tests and not miss a single snap.
They play by a different set of rules than the rest of us. Its part of the reason why they're as good as they are. It is what it is.

Isn’t the policy about tampering with the drug test?
Honest question, if he never actually poured any of the fake urine in the container or used the fake urine wouldn’t that be attempted tampering?
Maybe I am ignorant, so correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems to me he thought about it, almost did it, but never actually did it. So does the full punishment for the policy set in place apply?
