The really stupid thing about this, it was tried before at $20.00/head, and was such a colossal failure it was repealed in 2009.

Ironically the tax to pay for the homeless will create more homeless people.

But just think how virtuous the lib prog fanatics feel about themselves. Especially the ones who never have to deal with the debris.

Saw somewhere that the tax will only effect like 3% of their businesses. Yea, I’m sure they’ll stick around a while after this really hits. Great idea Seattle.

Well, they won't be living next to the bum dorms, so they'll think it's so great to spend other people's money on creating high crime areas in someone else's neighborhood.

How about ridding your shithole city of drugs then watch the problem disappear.

I don't think Big Pharma will let them do that.

I'm convinced that the left doesn't want to actually fix anything. They just want to complain about things that need to be fixed and then wreck it more so that they can still have something that needs fixed to complain about.

It reminds me of when women want to vent and then get mad at you for wanting to fix whatever it is that causes them to want to vent in the first place. Or this...

It's not about the nail

I expect a story soon about how this helped with their homeless problem by reducing occupancy rates across the city as jobs move elsewhere.

Seriously, at $20m+ a year, Amazon will find ways to reduce headcount or pull out of Seattle completely.

Some laugh about things like this, but these idiot leftists in WA and IL succeed in destroying their states then carpet bag to our red states and start voting leftists into office here. Rinse, repeat.

It’ll work next time because they’ll put in laws to prevent people from leaving.

I think amazon halted construction on their new building when this was proposed. Not a smart move Seattle.

I have a cousin in Seattle. He marches with antif@g and every other protest on the west coast. His profession, self proclaimed I might add, is "struggling musician". He will be thrilled at this, I'm sure.

And yes, he's typical antif@g filth... young 30s'ish, white, born to quite wealthy parents who have supported him financially his entire life. Even still, they send loads of "monetary support" to him, because they believe he should be happy, believe what he wants, and "chase his dream".

Last time I spoke to him, told him he was better off getting a GD job and contributing to society as opposed to fighting against it. That didn't go too well. That was four years ago. I guess he's still doing just fine over there in Marxist land...
