I assume He is counting rushes too.

Most of the time Danny is scrambling and it isn’t a designed run.

So that would have been a dropback.

I tend to think this is what happened with Canada

Saban also lost a future National Title Winning Quarterback when they were 6-1 after beating Florida. Saban also was coming off of an SEC Championship season.

Okay first off, define, "been here a while"?

I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you when O got here. But it didn’t take Saban longer than his opening press conference to tell you what he was going to do.

Also, Many of the things that O said he was going to do at his opening presser have not been done. It makes me think he doesn’t have a plan that he believes in.

He doesn't have a plan. Period.

He may have what he thinks is a plan, but he lacks the skills to implement it

He mostly comes off as a guy very insecure about his footing because he knows he's in way over his head, so he's constantly trying to tell people what he thinks they want to hear.

Remember when Matt Canada only revealed 10% of the offense for the BYU game?

O is a great d line coach and recruiter. He can recruit someone else’s system but appears he isn’t great recruiting as a head coach trying to sale his “system”. He’s in over his head that’s why he gets so defense when people don’t kiss his arse

Etling had 27 pass attempts against Auburn. So not sure where you getting 38 dropbacks from.

the play by play, and video replay of the game on youtube.

I am sure you already knew that a dropback isnt a pass attempt, sometimes the QB is sacked, sometimes he takes off running if the receivers are covered, I'm sure you don't need me to explain that to you.

It’s kinda like telling a HUNH guy he needs to slow down when the offense sputters.

A lot of those offenses don’t work if you slow them down.

Of course we are i don’t know why some of you can’t understand this. We are LSU fans we just don’t think O is a good coach.

well I could agree with that, other than I'm going to wait and see before I say that. But just like you, I'll be pulling for LSU (which by default means Orgeron as well) and see how the season goes. It's just that some of the others (not you apparently) want to already throw in the towel on the Tigers for this season and the Orgeron experiment. By the end of the season we will all be on the same page one way or another.

Some of us knew he would be a disaster before he was hired and his time as both interim and head coach have done nothing to dispel that notion.

but I do enjoy hearing all the excuses for Saban in this thread. He played a tough schedule and had crummy players is why he went 8-5 in his 3rd season at LSU wow. Seems the greatest wouldn't need to be defended with excuses.

But regardless who cares, the only thing that matters now is this coming season. Glad to hear you all (claim) to be for the LSU Tigers this coming season even with Orgeron as the HC. If he has a good season you will change your minds on him and if he has a bad season I (we) will (not change my mind as I will wait and see) see he is not a good HC coach for LSU.

You brought up 2 similar records that happened 15 years apart. Do you have a better way to evaluate them besides the schedule, the players each coach had and the culture that each coach inherited?

How do you judge the quality of wins and losses at the end of the season?

This is satire, right? Because no one in their right mind actually thinks O is even in the same universe as Saban.

You can't know what hasn't happened yet, season has yet to be played. HIs interim and first season (9-4 isn't good but not "disasters" either) could hardly be called disasters, but whatever.

Yes but you can use past evidence and current conditions to project.

Well by that measure Miles wasn't a disaster either. Why'd he get fired?
