Pitcher striking out 20 in a game. Only been done 6 times, by 4 pitchers. And on 2 of those occasions, the pitcher threw more than 9 innings.

My point is it depends what we define as achievable, there are literally impossible feats.

A better way to phrase the question would be, 'What rare feat in sports is most celebrated?'

as a track guy this needs to be qualified by event. Some events have records broken at a high clip when there’s some kind of advancement made in gear/technology. Some events won’t have records broken for a long time since they’re cracking down on doping now. No one will likely touch el garouj’s mile record for decades but he was doped to hell too.

To me, pitching a perfect game is the hardest.

A goalie scoring in hockey while there's a goalie in the opposite net.

It's a perfect game, hands down. When that many games have occurred over the last century, and there have only been 21 or 22 (I still count the one the ump blew a few years ago), it's easily the lowest odds to occur per game. I think that makes it the hardest pretty handily.

It’s not really a matter of ABs (you can’t his a cycle in 1 AB no matter how good you are)

It’s a matter of opportunities to get the cycles.

So each team has 9 batters and plays 162 games.

So it’s 162*9*30

So 21,870 opportunities

If you count every hole in one, you have to count every cycle In high school and college and beer league softball too.

Then I say a pitcher hitting a HR against a catcher who is pitching because the game is exactly 17-3.

Single moment in time breaking a world record (timed/measured event specifically)

Through a year winning every game/match you compete in

Career no clue

Both of those involve some level of luck, hitting for the cycle requires more skill though.

Most difficult thing to do in sports at professional level

1. Hitting a Baseball
2. Consistent Ball Striking in Golf
3. Stopping a Penalty Kick

The cycle. And it’s not even close.

You can get lucky and hit a hole in one. You ain’t getting lucky hitting for the cycle.
