People are fleeing San Fran & LA faster than any other city in the US. I completely understand why.

San Francisco is losing more residents than any other city in the US, creating a shortage of U-Hauls that puts a rental at $2,000 just to move to Las Vegas

Ppl in san fran proply dont own cars. If you live in a major city its easier to use public transportation/uber than to deal with driving and parking

And yet they’ll still vote for the same shitty policies that got them in that mess in the first place

But, But,But, they had a surplus, because of new taxes, but it won't put a dent in the trillions they are in debt.

My wife had a job offer from the college there and briefly considered it. Housing prices were what led to her turning it down. The city might be a cool place to live but paying 2k / month and up for a shitty apartment or tiny house isn't exactly great living.

why not move this to the PT board - it could rise to the number one circle jerk for 3/7/18.

Hard to believe you can even rent a Uhaul in SF. Try getting your oil changed or tires aligned... there are very few basic service stations with rent that high.

Not really surprised, my sister lives out there making a little over 100k and it might as well be 40k or something out there. The only reason she gets by is her work pays half her rent and even then, she's still paying $1800 for it out of pocket every month.

As much as you want to blame politics it has more to do with insane rent and real estate prices.

The people that are leaving will still vote there?

And they're leaving because the average rent is like $3k

SF is the epitome of the liberal utopia

price out all the poor people

preach to everyone else who has to live with poor people about how badly they treat them

then figure out new ways to price out the next highest income bracket
