I think most people just can't wrap their head around it. That's what gets me. I just can't understand how grown men with incredibly high paying jobs can be so incompetent.

Bro, that's the rule more than ever the exception! The majority of the time the richest and most powerful people are the worst leaders and most ignorant arse people you will find. The 1% are full of book smart folks who have great ideas but when it comes to common sense they are severely lacking in an elite way.

What about this thought? What if the BOS actually is approving Steve Ensminger to be the OC because they can't stand Ed O and if it actually happens they know it will all fail and they can then pull the plug on Ed O and start over again all the while firing Alleva as well?

I know for a fact the TAF is still pissed about how Alleva handled the search the last 2 years and that he BS'd them on what he was doing with Ed O. Word is the biggest money donors have made their feelings heard and if next season goes south they will move to blow everything up. Majority of TAF can't stand Alleva or Ed O.

Its because it's just a job to them. They don't love LSU, they love the money LSU pays them. On that note, I believe it was time for Les to move on but I must admit I truly believe Les Miles did and still does Love LSU. It's just sad we replaced him with a incompetent D Line coach who loves nothing but himself, lying, and exercising his authority over his staff, who he believes should submit to his commands even when he's wrong!

Ensminger as co-OC would be horrible. You’ll just have the bbq boys fighting with whoever is hired and we’ll never know how much input said outside OC would have. Disastrous.

Because with the talent to win 8-9 will keep the powers that be happy enough to be content. That’s what I fear. I hope we land a young OC that can light it up offensively and with Aranda at DC maybe Lsu can contend again. I don’t see that with Steve at OC

Empty that fricking building.
That includes all the ex-LSU football players and athletes that are incompetent at their jobs. (Only hired because they were Ex-football players or athletes of other LSU sports.)

Clean freaking house is right.

BTW, why is Briles acceptable to Florida Atlantic and Houston? (And not LSU)

I can see where he won't see 2019. Bad hires will get him on that bad road. At the end of this some folks are going to look like the idiots of the world.

If O hires a young up and coming OC and the offense struggles I think the fan base will be a little more forgiving. If he brings Ensminger up and the offense is stagnant he may as well make U-Haul reservations.

Doesn’t matter who he hires if O continues to think he knows more than the OC.

They're obviously not reading the board. That's probably a good thing.

Would be a vanilla, uncreative hire.

No splash.

Why did Memphis just give Norvell an extension when there is something in his past that just scared all the bigger fish away? The same reason Louisville re-hired Petrino. Schools that are down the football ladder in size or tradition will usually overlook more to win and be relevant. Most of them have less to lose if they run into trouble.

The plan was to give O a minimum of 3 years. The management debacle up until Troy has many worried. The rope did get tighter.

If things go south next year I could see Alleva getting canned and then Orgeron getting one more year with a new AD.

I think getting rid of Orgeron with Alleva making the next selection is almost the worst scenario of all

I can handle those odds with interviews still needing to happen. 70 -80% is way too high but there’s a chance!
